I35 Grille

I checked the forums and sticky's and couldnt find a thread, but anyways, would a i35 grill fit on a 2000 I30, on my current one the crappy chrome is chipping off and looks awful.

Also would it be a good idea to go from the I30 to I35 grill, or does that defy its purpose.

Thanks

Yes, it will fit perfectly. I got mine from www.car-part.com for $90 shipped from a 2k4 I35.

Personally, I like the 2000 - 2001 grill more, it's classier and stands out more, whereas the 2002 - 2004 are sportier and more subtle.

The old grille makes the car look like an old mazda.
The 02+ grille is the way to go.
BTW is only my opinion

YES!! For the longest time I see older model Mazda's and confuse them for I's. I thought I was the only one that saw that similarity.

The I35 grill screams last gen Camry IMO.

It's your decision on the grill. Either will work.

Where's the chrome coming off? If it's the vertical bars, ever thought of cutting those out and trying a mesh insert there? I have an extra I30 grill to do this, but the headlight mods will be first.

I dont know if I'm the only one on this, but I ALWAYS mistake the newer Hyundai Sonatas and ESPECIALLY the Hyundia XG350's for I-30/35s.

Don't forget about the Daewoo. The I35 Grille is definitely better looking and it stands out pretty well.

I35 Grille

I wish I would have known about this site when I bought mine. I got my pieces from the dealer for about $250. Ouch

This site has great prices on all kinds of replacement parts. Make sure you order the emblem too, as it does not come with the grille.

Wait for ebay man!....I think you could spend that $250 on a better mod.
Also try car-part.com I got mine there for cheap...(Just keep looking..they seem to move pretty fast)

$200 aint bad, but they're not too common on eBay...keep looking though. Like others mentioned, you could get some other decent mods for alot less...like clear side-markers or window tint or even an intake.

Like the above poster said, go to www.car-part.com. You can put in the part you are looking for and it will show you salvage yards around the country that have the part you are looking for. I got an I35 grille for $80 including shipping. It was used, but it was in good condition.

Took me close to four months to find one for a decent price. finally snagged a used one(about 1 year old) for 120 shipped. Believe it or not, someone was selling it in the 5th gen classifieds.
