Go back and check your owner's manual again. Programming instructions are on page 2-41 of the 2000 I30 manual.

ZOMG -

Pick up your garage door opener (hand held device) and take it to your car. Point the transmitter to your sunvisor.
Choose a button you want to use on the homelink device to open the garage door.
Hold down that button and the open button on your garage door hand held transmitter.
When the led light on the homelink blinks very fast, that means the code is has been entered.
Hit the homelink button again to see if the garage door opens/close.
YOUR DONE.
Repeat again for the other doors if you have more than one garage door.

It took me literally, 45 seconds to program both of my garage doors on my home link. Good luck.

^ Thanks alot

But one more question, do i do just what you said, or still parts from the manual, like the part when you have to hold the two outer buttons so it deletes the factory code?

yes, That's what I did. There is no harm in doing it.

I know my garage door opener has a learn button that you gotta push. Once you push it, you've got like 30 seconds to use a remote. During that time the door opener remembers any signals that it receives.

I believe you have to hold the button on the visor and the button on your transmitter for quite a while until the red LED on the visor blinks rapidly (or slowly? I can't rememer), and I think it's different for garage door opener's with rolling codes. Just read the instructions from the owner's manual carefully, and follow it word for word.

The visor transmitter is not compatible with ALL brands of garage door openers, so it could just be that you have one of those incompatible brands. I have this same problem. I know the problem is with the garage door opener as my old Nissan had a visor transmitter and it did not work, my current Infiniti transmitter does not work, and my wife's Toyota one does not work either.

This is likely the key. Try it.

Yeah, I've found garage door openers that are 10 years old that have the rolling code feature.

Pretty much every single one I've programmed had to use the learn button the unit itself.

Intellicode.

It's rolling code. Did you do as the directions said for rolling-code garage door openers?

If not, that's your problem.
