MAF Part#
MAF Part#
Hey guys - I know that this thread is beating a (very) dead horse, but after 2 hours of reading the 5th Gen stickies I still have a question on the part number for the MAF (2000 I30). I'm doing a major service to my car (just replaced coils, plugs, air filter, oil change + filter) and now I want to replace the MAF since I'm @ 150K miles and it has never been done. Can anyone help me with the part # so that I make sure that I am getting the right one this afternoon? Thanks...and sorry again for creating a new post on this topic.
Call Dave Burnett sp? 1-888-254-6060. He will be cheaper, and at the very least he will have the current part number. 2000 Maxima/I30 same part.
Also, If your car is not showing signs of MAF failure, there is no need to replace it. It is not an interval replacement item.

Thanks for the reply man but I already called Dave B (he is my first stop for all part pricing) and his price is only ~ $10 cheaper than my local dealership + no wait for shipping. I am replacing the MAF b/c I've had a CEL for awhile now and began having the infamous misfires and hesistation problems at cold starts/stops. After changing the coils the misfires are gone, but still have a slight hesistation under acceleration. So, next stop is a new MAF. I just wanted to get the current part # to make sure I'm getting the right unit this afternoon. Thanks!
Interesting.
I picked up the MAF from a local dealer yesterday and the part number is different from both the one provided by I30ds and the part number for the G35...I will post it this evening when I get home.
FYI, total cost was $120 ($112 + tax).

The G35 uses a totally different MAF from the one that the G20 and the A33 use...
You better hope the dealer did not give you the A33 VQ35DE MAF cause that won't work.
Yeah, look at here

For the 2k and 2k1 there are 2 MAF's available:
22680AD201 $400
226802Y001 $90 (or in your case, $75)
For the 2k2 there are 2 MAF's available:
226806N201 $400
22680-AM600 $400
For the 2k3 there is only one:
22680-AM600 $400
The $90 226802Y001 has proven to be one of the more robust makes (along with the AM600), and this can also be used on 2k2 and 2k3 Maximas but the IAT thermistor from the existing MAF must be moved to the 226802Y001 MAF as well. The 2k and 2k1s have a separate IAT plug somewhere so the MAF does not have this, while the 2k2 and 2k3s have the IAT sensor in the MAF itself. You can use the 226802Y001 in a 2k2 or 2k3 w/o the sensor but it will throw a CEL.
