Condensation in Tails

I just got my car and noticed yesterday that my pass. rear tail light has a little condensation in it. Is there any special way that this could be corrected? Do I need to pull, bake, open, reseal? Just curious if there is perhaps an easier way (short of buying new ones) to do this.

Do you see where the leak is?

If yes, just seal up the hole and use a hair dryer to remove the condensation. No need to open them up.

Not sure if the Infiniti tails are similar in construction to the 5th gen tails, but I have heard that the Max tails must be CUT apart and can not be baked. I have not even tried to open my tails (yet), so I cant tell you for sure.

I have not really examined them as of yet but just noticed it last night. I will take a better look when I get home and see if I can find anything on them. I guess I could just use some clear silicon if there is a small crack or something. I do not remember seeing an actual crack however. If I do end up pulling it to examine I will post if it looks possible to back or not.

Sweet, I see you are in FT. Collins, CO! We have a contract out there with the CDC. If I get promoted to a corporate position soon I may get to take a trip out there. My mom lives in CO Spng. and I went to school out there.

Yeah, Id love to see if we can bake our tails. I've wanted to try an LED set-up back there for some time now.

If you make the trip to Colorado, wait till spring. It's getting damn rediculous out here. I love snow, but I like to see it melt too.

My mom has been stuck at home a couple of times with the snow this year. She said when the first storm hit their a couple of weeks ago, the kids had come through to all of the houses and asked if they could go through everyones back yard on their boards. No one could figure out what they were doing. Apparently they built big jumps over all of the fences and were flying down the hill (about 7 house properties long) and jumping the fences as if it was a terrain park! My mom shot some videos of them flying through the yards but has yet to send it to me.

I will try to pop the tail out tomorrow some time. I tapped on it when I got home and it definitely sounds differnt than the drivers side. Meaning the one in question sounded as if something was loose.

I have been told that one can drill a small hole at the bottom of the housing and I've never seen it done. There doesnt seem to be any logic behind it IMO.Anyone else heard this?

That does work, but just replacing the light is the best way.
