I do know that I did not get them from HIDtech. They never responded once to my e-mails so I googled forever elsewhere to buy them.

I just paypal'd thirty some dollars to HID Tech with a note saying it was for the 9006 Lexus yellow capsules. I received them a few days later. Unfortunately I dont remember the exact amount (this was quite some time ago).
You might want to try searching the Max forums for the info. I know I got the price with shipping somewhere on here.
Sorry I cant be more help, but they are the 9006 capsules that you need.

Congrats on the fogs.....I wish I had a 5th gen, because the only way to open 4th gen I30 fogs is to dremel them, because they are held together using engine glue stuff, which can't be heated and removed.
I have two yellow fog capsules for sale....$30 shipped....

Im interested.
Will it work on my 2000 I30?
Also, can Meta or anyone provide a "How-To" when it comes to installing them?
Thanks,
Omar

You have limited depth to work with unless you cut some new lenses. The LED units I used were wired in-line with the voltage regulator and inline with the exiting wiring back there. Just figure out the best way to fit the LEDs you want to use in the cavities and then hook up the + and - wires and you're there.
I was talking about the yellow capsule.

Wow. Blast from the past.
I found the how-to on the capsules with a Google search:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/442543/15
I used that for the most part I think.

Now you can easily get the real HID look at a fraction of the price HIR Xenon Super White Headlights (HID Style)
Direct plug-in replacements for your halogen capsules
Now you can easily get the real HID look at a fraction of the price"
Of course you want to order "HIR 3000K-3500K Yellow All Weather"
There is a problem with the rigid metal wire on this particular bulb shorting out in the fog light reflector. I baked the housing and took the lens off to bend the reflector back far enough but it might be simpler just to push a screwdriver through the hole. PM me if you need help with it.

Also, Autolumination.com came out with a great fake HID yellow h3 bulb, Follow this link and scroll down to

this is an old thread... I made my fog lights yellow with a HID kit. It was enexpensive, looks good and not hard to install. same H3 sized bulbs but with ballast. If you do a search on here you can find a couple write ups on how to install them, makes it very easy. I only spent $60 on my kit and am happy with it
