I35 grille

I am currently trying to install an I35 grille on my I30, everything is going in nice and tight, just one question, has anyone else that has done this had a bigger gap on the top thnen the original grille???

the I30 grille has a rubber surround that makes it look flush mounted. the I35 grille will be inset a lil bit with a small gap barely big enough to squeeze maybe a penny into.

ok because i went back , and found out the weather lining was taken off, glued it back on and now there is a small, like you said penny sized hole in between the grille and hood

Very nice! Are you planning to do any other simple mods like clearing your corners or different shoes?

I have to say that grill looks better on a black car than it did on my silver one when I test fitted it to mine.

I've wanted to make some kind of a mesh grille for mine, too. Great job! I'm sure it's fairly simple to do, but if you ever have time for a write-up on how you did it and what kind of mesh you used, that would be cool, too...

Its plain mesh bought from Home Depot.
cut out, on the borders remember to curve the tips in around the edge of the i30 grill. get some metal strips to clip on the mesh. very simple.

It looks good on your's though because you've got the older grill. I don't know if it will look quite the same on mine with the newer grill. Guess I'll have to try it and find out...

You can after a certain amount of posts - 20-25 if you're lucky. Just interject little things all over the board and you should be good.

Yes, that's a German Plate, always have had a soft spot for them.

EDIT: Is a way to get the Headlights off to get the orange out of them?
