A33 double din?

I know this has been talked about before but I was just wondering if anybody has done a recent double din kit in an A33? If so please post some pics. I am seriously wanting to get rid of this gapped maxima kit it my car. Also if anybody has feedback on how the Sycefiro kit fits please let me know. Thanks!
Josh

Got it thanks a lot. I actually already saw that thread. Does anybody have a pic of the kit before install, what colors it comes in, and if it fits well? I guess the best person to talk to is Meta Orbit.

so now that I can install a double din dvd I was thinking about getting this:

http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...hId=133&page=1

Anyone knows if this HU would fit on a 02 I35?
MSRP is $849 but I can get it for like $600 + tax.
Thanks

If it's double din then it will fit.

Personally, I'd stay away from JVC though. Bad stories and bad personal experience.

Lots of nice stuff out by Pioneer (avid-d3), Alpine (iva-w205), and Eclipse (any, but expensive) in the Double Din variety these days.

I'm pleased with my Kenwood (DDX7015), but had those options been available when I bought mine I would have bought one of those instead. Turns out I bought a double-din screen unit before they got popular and everybody started making them.

How/Where in the hell did you get that Woodgrain Climate Control?! Did that come stock on your car or what? I need me one of those badly, so I can finish up my interior center console. Love the D3 setup, that's what I was planning on getting, plus I like the whole color changing interfeace scheme of it.

like the avid d3 sweet! how do you like the navigation?is it up to date on the street routes? i heard some model navgation units are not up to date with the streets.Do you find it annoying to have to stop the cd or entertainment to insert the navi disk and load your route, then out the cd or dvd back in? can you watch the dvd while driving ?or do you have to pull over and out the ebreak on to watch the dvd?

Don't mean to bump this thread up, but I had a question regarding the DDkits. The one SYCEFIRO sells does not have an option to open/close the vents. However the DD that RobertA32 has (post 9) a control if you look closely. Also, his kit has a wood trim right at the bottom of the kit itself, the following image should illustrate:

Left is sycefiro, right is the Robert. I understand the kit pictured on the right is for an i30, but is that the reason why there is no vent control/wood at the bottom?

Anyone have any idea which kit that is, and how it sits so flush? Thanks in advance.

the one on the left is the OEM trim for the Nissan Cefiro from Taiwan.
RobertA32 has a European Maxima. And I believe it is the OEM piece on that one as well.
My US spec I30 does not have wood trim around the climate control...
Interestingly enough and on another note.... the Euro spec Maxima only has 200 HP even in the 2004.

To clarify, the one's RobertA32 posted, may be for Euro Maxima... and doesn't have the curve above for the Infiniti I30/I35 Clock. Therefore, it's like trying to put in the Double Din Dash kit from USDM Maxima onto I30/I35.

I hope this helps!

Still waiting for hear back on the QTY/color and count of the inventory in stock from my partner. I'll call again as they are searching for more availbility.

Thanks for your understanding.
Best Regards,
SYCEFIRO

Thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately I am at work and cannot view the image you posted but from description, it makes total sense. From memory I just realized there is no curve for the analog clock. good eye.

Please keep us posted...I want one ASAP as well lol.

so you don't people have a life and have better **** to do than trying to import all kinds of stuff for needy I30/I35 drivers? Plus i'm sure his profit margin isn't that big, or he would be on top of that ^^ haha maybe i'm just happy because he always got right back to me and I did in fact get my trim piece

^ Yeah, I'm not mad at all. I know pepz have lives and that a favor for someone he has never met in another country is down on the list of priorities. I just keep trying to circle back with him in hopes that I catch him on one of those days that he has a few moments etc...

No hate here....but I am still hoping that he gets back to me eventually

A33 Double Din solution

Got the Heisman from Sycefiro, too... He must be a busy guy.

Took the advice of some here and got a box of Dynatron and used the face plate from the stock radio. It was a quick job and I wish I had taken the time and had the right tools to do it right. Ended up getting all three parts repainted a lighter gray. Gives the interior a nice 2-tone look, I think (besides the wood grain, that is).

Ask me for a pic if you're interested.
