Same issue with my 2002 Maxima SE...seat stuck all the way back...ok for me but not for wifey.....I press the slider forward, hear the clicking sound but no action. I decided to follow McSteve's advice: I moved the slider forward while pressing the seat forward from its back simultaneously and BAM!! Now even circus midgets could drive my car...moves forward and back...it just needed a lil' push. Hope this is a permanent fix since this was just done a few hours ago...Thanks McSteve!

I had the same problem, mines would get stuck when moved all the way back. I would have to hold the button and buck for a couple of seconds till it would move . This was before my tints, so people would look at me crazy. I took a look at my track, and at the end if it, it has a small curve at the edges. So what I did is got some CRC di-electric grease and coated the track. Not really the purpose of it, but since it doesn't dry or melt depending on temp, figured it would keep the track lubed. Ran the seat back and forth a couple times, applied a little more, and almost 2 years later my seat doesn't stick anymore. No more bucking FTW!

On mine left side of the seat didn't move. I opened the seat and tried to get the motor out, but at least one of 8 philips screws got stock really hard there. I checked the rack, it was clean and I saw that the screw stick (or whatever it is) did not move at all when I press forward/back button, so it must be in the motor.

I read here people fixing the motor by providing better contact, but then the same people said they had same problem after couple month, so I think I am gonna change the whole motor.

Does anyone knows how much the motor cost? where the cheapest place?

Thanks

So any help would be greatly appreciate here. I've been reading all the posts and have some idea but sure wanna make sure I understand this correctly. My driver seat is stuck all the way back, over the bolts so I can't remove the seat itself. It reclines and all that, but it won't move forward, It only moves on the left side, not the right. It's like the right side is stuck and won't move. I tried tapping on the motor, but to be fair I can barely get to it since I can't remove the seat. I looked and don't see anything in the rail. I took it to the dealer here in Portland, OR and the f'ing dude just called and said it was going to be $1,800 for a "lower seat adjuster". Nothing about the motor, nothing about any bushing or grommet, nothing about the rail. They're not sure what the issue is so replacing the entire f'ing thing is the only thing they can do. How can I get to the bolts if the seat stuck all the way back and covering them? Thanks you guys!!
