Car Problem

I 5 hours away in college and my dad called me and told me that my car wont start. He said he wsa driving down the highway and the light started to flicker and the car wouldnt accelerate. I said it might be the alternater but i know nothing about cars so im looking for your guys help. I searches the forums and found nothing.

Also its a A33 (2000) Infiniti I30 with just over 140k miles.

Thanks,
Chuck

Which light was flickering? If it's the battery light then you potentially have an alternator problem.

I had the same problem when I just purchased the car with 30k miles on it. They had to replace the battery and that solved it.
The bill I got stated: "battery replaced because of bad cell" or something like that.
Good luck!
