Hi,

My infiniti i30t 2000 has lost all its power and I see that its RPM is rising but the car won't move accordingly. Also, I am hearing some chain sound when I am giving the gas. The sound is very irritating. Mostly I hear this sound when the speed is slow.

About 6 months back I took it to the showroom and had all the Ignition coils and spark plugs changed. I was getting the code for ignition coils. Now the code is gone and car won't stammer when started. But I lost the power and this krrrrrr sound.

Please advice what need to be done. I want to go to some good private mechanic this time.

Hummmm, not quite enough info to make a good diagnosis online........... but it almost sounds like you blew a cv joint, was it making a clicking sound during cornering beforehand that got worse and worse?

 

YEAH I WAS THINKIN CV JOINT - ( BUT HE WOULD HAVE HEARD THE CLICKING FROM THE JOINT AHEAD OF TIME BEFORE IT BROKE-) I HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM TURNS OUT ITS A CLOGGED CAT. AND A BAD O2 ??? GO FIGURE - THEN AGAIN I GOT 166K OUT OF OEM EXHAUST....

 

i donno u proly got it fixed but i think sound u talkin ab8 cuming outta my car and its the chains inside the engine and my car has dat sound too but i dont really care dat much cus i have step on the gas really hard 2 get it but the engine reving and car not going thing is the MAF sensor .
