I35 Wrecked: Headlight problem?
Got my car back today. All-in all it kinda blows. The bodyshop thinks I bent my core support because after the hood was installed, there's a slight gap on the passanger (non-wrecked) side. It's BARELY noticeable, but it's there...
Secondly (more important to me haha) the beams on my headlights look different. The i35 had dual xenon HID lights, and the passanger (non-wrecked) light output is clearly blue-tinted. The driver (just replaced) light, however, Is a distinct white, barely any blue tint at all. The 2 don't match....
Is this normal? Do the HID bulbs havea break-in period or something? Is it possible the bodyshop got the wrong bulb? The output is definately HID, it's just the color....
So much for selling this beast! Wrecked her twice, now she's mine!

Nice Legend. Ever go to A-L.com?
BTW, look out for aftermarket HID headlamps. I have heard that their quality is only so-so.
And yeah you need to have a matched pair of HID bulbs. HID bulbs tend to color shift over time and should be replaced in pairs to maintain color matching.

Well this problem has gotten worse.
I need a good set of bulbs to get the color output to match....
Ebay has a few currently, but they are aftermarket.
Can someone recoomend a high(er) quality brand-or should I pay the extra for OEM?

BTW, the aftermarket lamps are OK. Just buy from a reputable dealer and you'll be OK. My Chinese made HIDs from eBay have lasted a very long time so far.
