no to remove the HVAC and Stereo you need to remove the shifter trim and work your way up. you can find it in the FSM. someone please post a link to the FSM as I can't right now...

Where did you get them from? As mentioned by burgy, here are mine. I got them from superbrightleds.com. They look so much better in person. these are crappy point and shoot pics.

LED sidemarker shots

Interior lights

Finally, the clock

Also have the LED's in the Map lights but didn't take pics. The dome light is a 9 LED festoon. The doors are 4 LED wedge's, the Map lights are a single LED and the sidemarkers are 5 LED wedge. I love the soft white light these give off sooooo much better.

As you can see we have not done the HID conversion on the fogs yet, but the sidemarker LED's look sooo much better next to the 8K HID's.

you can check http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/
for all the bulb numbers etc. There are many options for each one so you will have to decide what you want. Dragongirl listed the ones we got for her car in terms of style but you may want more or less LED's in the different applications.
Autolumination.com should be decent?? I can get the actual bulb #'s from the ones we have if your interested....

It says which bulb they replace, but which style you want depends on how bright etc that you want it....

for your 01 I30
http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm

As for the HID's, they are just 8K replacement bulbs in the headlights and I just put in 8K conversions in the fogs and they look sick!!

Okay, I'm starting to learn this, so for the license plate LEDs do you guys use the 36 LED array or just a tower(bulb) type LED?

I did NOT do the license plate lights as I could care less if pepz see mine, but I used the single shot LED's in the Map lights and I would suggest you Don't, get one with at least three LED's. I also got a 3022-W9 Festoon for the Dome light and again I would say just get a W6 Festoon instead if you get the larger Map lights. The doors and side markers got 4 LED wedge bulbs. G/L

They worked well and being so cheap I don't mind changing them every few months if needed. I've only had to replace 3 LEDs in total for my entire car.

Choose type B and whatever color you want.. I went with super white..

The install is really easy. I found it easier to turn the vents down and put my fingers in there and yank strait out After that you will see 2 screws to remove the top trim. There is no need to remove the clock from its trim. Just turn it around and the bulbs will looks like 2 grey screws.. When you install the new leds make sure you try them out before you re assemble the dash.. There is a 50/50 chance they wont work the first time as the led contacts are polarity specific. If it doesnt work the first time just turn the bulb around.
I followed the above instructions and it worked out perfectly.
I bought a 00 I30 two weeks ago and thought it was strange that the fancy analog clock didn’t light up. I went for the white LEDs and needless to say, now it’s the brightest thing in the dash.
Thanks!!
I’m also having the problem where the fuel gauge and speedometer lights are burned out.
Do you think its better to fix this or install white face gauges? (I haven’t located any yet)

Mine are all doing great still and if you want blue, they have them. We wanted white on purpose since the car will be going to a red and pink theme (it's my girls car)

i bought my LED's from radio shack, but had to wire in a capacitor to each bulb. are these LED's the correct voltage or do you need a cap?

I believe the gauge cluster lighting is a function of fluorescent tube light that cannot be replaced, you have to buy the whole gauge cluster from Infiniti.

Knock on wood, mine haven't dimmed yet in my '01.

A33 I30's use bulbs similar to the maxima's. A33 I35's use the flourescent tube light.

From what I recall from the people with maximas that threw leds in the cluster weren't too happy with the angle of light emitted from the leds. They had brighter and darker areas.

The 2000 I30 also use the fluorescent tube for the dash. Mine has been getting dimmer and dimmer, and can barely see the speed and gas gauges now, especially when its cold out.

Just so you know, the LEDs i put in the clock are still working just fine and so are my HID's! Im putting some new yellow bulbs in the fogs tomorrow since one burned out.. MY last HID project was on my new motorcycle Im also customizing a cheap driving light to use HID and mounting under the headlight on my bike.. My Ninja is lit up like a Christmas tree!
