I actually really need to know if the outers are the same. My 98 is broken and the yard doesn't get in anything that new. it gets in 96s and that is donating me the front fog/corner light along with hopefully a mirror and the rear trunk "board".

 

Nope. 96-97 are one way, 98-99 are another. The outers and the inner are different.

 

I thought so, but wanted to be sure.
they apparently also changed the center section from early 98 to late 98 MY.
