105k maintenance

I need the following things done my 02 i35:

1) Spark Plugs (I will probably do the wires too)
2) Rear Brakes
3) Radiator Flush
4) Front End Alignment

The dealer wants ~$700 for all of this. The sparks and wires by themselves is $569

I'm thinking I should buy all my parts (Sparks, Wires, Rotors, and Pads) and have the dealer put them on (I have checked with the dealer, they are willing to install provided parts).

My question is:

What kind of sparks should I buy? I used NGK in my Legend, and they were ok. I have also heard that Bosch are the best. Can anyone adivse? What sparks would my dealer use?

What are the issues with aftermarket rotors? I will definately get OEM pads, but will aftermarket rotors cause me headaches down the line?

Thanks!

Get either NGK's or Denso's. Our cars run through Bosch plugs like theres no tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the dealer will use NGK's. Definitely get the plugs yourself cause $569 way too much for plugs and wires.

Thanks for the info. I went with these:

It doesn't look like NGK makes the wire sets. Any reccomendation on the wires?

Thanks again

Don't have wires. We have coil packs. No need to change them unless they're bad.

ROFLMAO

Wow. I am laughing because before I started taking my car to the dealer, I was taking it to a "repuitable" shop (I posted tht story previouslly) and they CHARGED me for replacing my spark plug wires. What a bunch of a'holes.

Thanks for the info meta, you never disappoint

No problem, and as for the brakes, I'd get the cheapest rotors you can find and a good set of ceramic pads. I have a feeling that almost all rotors you buy these days come out of either the same or a handful of factories in China. Really, the pads will make the difference. Get some ceramic pads with lifetime warranties from Autozone or the like and enjoy.

I was real happy with the hawk HPS pads i got from the GB section, but the guy I got them from doesn't respond to my e-mails any longer

I'll order the rotors next week, and some hawk hps pads then also.

Thanks again man!

Wow, I really wish everyone else had a Harper Infiniti. I think we lucked out here in East TN with our dealership.

Seriously. Best dealer service I've ever experienced, bar none. Coincidentally my car is down there this morning.

The dealer service alone--not to mention Infiniti goodies/cachet--is worth the cost over a similar rebadged Nissan. I drove a Maxima prior and while the same great car, the dealer service was AWFUL.

So yeah, you can't go wrong with Harper. I'll still be checking out brand new G37 (or G50s in due time lol) loaner cars when I take my ANCIENT '02 I35 in for a freakin' oil change over the next TEN YEARS I expect it to last.
