A way to retrofit Scosche 2000+ Maxima din kit in to I35

I just purchased Pac Roem-Nis2 so I can replace my malfunctioning Bose unit in my new 2002 I35 with Panasonic aftermarket stereo from my 97 Maxima. I just discovered that for some reason the "Scosche 2000-Up Nissan Maxima Double ISO Kit" will not fit in my I35 even though though I35 and Maxima dash looks almost identical. Is there a way to modify "Scosche 2000-Up Nissan Maxima Double ISO Kit" in order for it to fix in my I35. What are my choices? Any experience on sound quality with Pac Roem-Nis2 kit and Bose stereo? Note: Panasonic stereo has 2.5 volt preamp out instead of 4 volt as needed for Bose.
I am kind of stuck here.

Thanks

There is no aftermarket dashkit for the I35. this has been covered many times, and unforunately your only option is to keep stock, get one fabricated from scratch, or order one from cefiro. he imports the asian cefiro dash kit versions which are double DIN.

I know it pisses me off too. it looks similar tothe maxima, but it is slightly different.

Judging from the pictures, thermostat on Maxima is shaped a bit different than it is on I35. The upper portion looks looks the same, at least to me. What are the major differences that will prevent me from using the kit. I can always file the dash kit down.

Never mind, I found a picture and it looks rather awful!

Wow. That really does look like ****. Why the hell did they think it was a good idea to make different dash sizes for the same damn car? That is just stupid.
