Power lock question

Are the doors supposed to like when you put the car in drive? I could have sworn that my car did that when I drove it the first few times (only had it for a month). Now it doesn't do it and I don't know how to enable it. Anybody know?

It's always really annoyed me that the car doesn't do that. It seems like something that was blatantly overlooked.
