Fog Light Mod Help?

I want to be able to have my foglights independently lit. I am aware this is illegal and would like to know what to do in order to have the foglights illuminate without the headlights. I belive this should be a simple matter of splicing some relay wire, but I have no idea what to do. Please go into detail if you know how to do this. Oh and ftr this is for an 02 I35. Thanks

it's not illegal to have the foglights on without headlights?

who told you that?

**i'm from california, I jump to conclusions sometimes. I am aware that we have different DOT laws. But I assume that california may be stricter on stupid laws like this.

Its not illegal to have you fogs lit without your headlights, but rather its not legal to have you fogs on when you engage your high beams. I believe the answer you seek is in one of the sticky.

I could be mistaking, but I think if you download the service manual, you will be able to find wiring diagram for the fog lights.

Actually you can be given tickets for driving with fog lights when the weather doesnt permit it i.e. not foggy or clear visibility conditions. Cops dont give tickets cause... its ridiculous, but they CAN.

You can get a ticket in NY for starting and running your car with the key in the ignition if you are not INSIDE the car.
