Whats the point of this thread if you arent going to take any advice? you can replace bose speakers with bose, still gonna sound like crap.

Exactly! Thank god somebody finally said it!

Were trying to tell you, don't waste another penny on the bose! Take that money and put it towards new stuff.

Besides, why spend $40 on bose speakers, when you can buy a replacement set of Alpine speakers for like $55??

Come on! Be smart!

Lol. Well the information was very useful. I am planning on changing HU, but not so confident about speakers because to change all speakers will cost about $500

On your last post u said my bose speakers might be bad as well, so may be if i get brand new speakers for $40 it would give good sound)

Do it yourself. You can get front and rear speakers for as cheap as 130 bucks for both. Find write ups on how to remove the door panels. It's really not that hard man.

Its EXTREMELY EASY. Changing interior door and rear speakers is a breeze. I could have all 4 door panels in my max off in less than 20 minutes, and changing the speakers is simple. If you get some decent components, you really wouldnt even need a sub unless you want the bang. Its not like you have to do everything at one time, I know I didnt have the money when I had my first setup. ****, even w/ my second set up it went: HU and front component sets in each door, then rear deck component sets, then subs.

Also that JVC KW-XR810 is a beast of a CD player. I F-N love mine!!

I dont know what kind of speakers you were looking at that came to $500 unless you were including a sub

Yeah, I was including subs. I think my next step will be putting sound dumpin material on the rear deck because I could use it now for bose and future aftermarket sub whenever I get one. After that I will buy aftermarket HU, which gonna cost me $300 and harnesses and adapters $100, and only then will think about speakers.

Was the sound better with aftermarket HU but stock speakers? Because carstereohelp web site said that when people change HU, most of the time they either put stock cd player back or change whole system because aftermarket HU and stock speakers sounds worse than stock system

For some reason I thought I would have to do all the wiring in the car where its kind of uncofortable. I didn't realize at first that when I get cd player and harness, I can do most of the work in my bedroom

what do you need a wheel control kit for? Also, I didnt even know they made one for the 810. It comes with a remote. Its very easy to operate.

I MAY be able to get you an awesome deal on an 810. My buddy runs a stereo shop. Got mine for 225

Yeah. In crutchfield it says that its possible to use steering wheel controls with pac adapter.

On amazon the players go for $250 including shipping. Let me know how much it would cost through him with shipping to Florida

250 is a good price, if shipped. The best I can is $225 +shipping, which would be like $25, because I would package it well

im deaf, so Im not sure how good the bluetooth is. when i got the CD player my hearing was going bad at that point. went 100% deaf about 2 months later, and at the time my phone didnt support bluetooth.

there is no graphics per se, but it does display the song info and stuff. I love how you can make the display look however you want. the display settings are crazy.

either the 810 or 720
http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...hId=148&page=1
leaning towards 720

the kw-hdr720 is like $100 cheaper than the kw-xr810. If you are wanting the 720, check the specs and see why its so much cheaper
http://www.amazon.com/JVC-KW-HDR720-.../dp/B004UGEI3K

FWIW the 810 is blue tooth ready out of the box, the 720 needs this $80 adapter, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-q2yETvF...KS-BTA100.html.

IMHO, get the 810

Yeah. But did you notice that the one on top in the video had nicer display? It had some video on it if i am not mistaking. 720 and 810 seems to have display with only 3 text lines

display means nothing if you are trying to upgrade your audio. plus, if bluetooth doesnt come with the 720 but does on the 810. So if you talk on the phone alot, go with the 810. its not much more than the 720

i believe he is referring to this http://www.amazon.com/Metra-ASWC-Uni.../dp/B0039H2W66 which are super easy to install, this one programs itself automatically with reading the instructions. the only thing your radio must have is a headphone input for a wr. "wired remote"

your going to want to look for a radio that has r.d.s. built into it for that feature. (displays song playing on fm radio)

This one made specifically for JVC and it does needs little set up, but should take only 10 minutes. I read the manual. Is it hard to find the wires from steering wheel? I didn't find it in service manual

So, do you guys think I should fix the cut out problem
or get another subwoofer? I read before that there is some 1omh sub available for sale which sounds better, but not sure about amp etc.

Anyway, what would be your recommendation? Thanks
If you're wanting some mild bass (good with rock) I would suggest getting an old Audibahn sub. I have a 400watt Audiobahn 10" powered by an older Crossfire 100watt amp. It sounds excellent

Since I am planning to replace stock speakers with Infinity speakers,
what do you guys think about this sub?

oh man programming those can be a little frustrating. i did a few and i have to say, the auto detecting interfaces are the best! all you need to do is read, you dont need all the wires from the interface. they are there for diff radios, and cars.

you pretty much need ign, 12v, ground and thats it. plug the headphone jack into the wr from the back of the radio, and follow the programming instructions, usually turn ign on, let led flash, press the button the sequence for the car, then push (in order) volume, mute, etc (depending what options are on your wheel) something like that.

Thanks, their price is pretty good too.
Now question about these and jvc player xr-810
I read that the player also has sub output, so I guess I can get small sub in my trunk.
Is it hard to connect it? what wires would I need? Just power and audio cables?

just a power wire kit and run the rca's from the sub out from the radio to the input on the basslink

Thanks. Whats the purpose of remote wire? I think i'll go with infinity sub for now for great price. Any advice on where to mount the sub so that I would still have big trunk space?

Yup, your aftermarket HU will have a blue wire coming out of it. That will be your remote wire for the amp.

Tigersharkdude,

I am about to start installing the new HU, I was wondering, what did you ground JVC hU to?

you can get a small "o ring" connector and use any bolt behind the radio assembly thats strictly metal to place it under for ground.

Thanks, has any of you brought PAC steering wheel control module? I am trying to figure out, do I need resistors for the installation?

what model did you get...swi-x, swi-jack, or swi-rc?
their install directions are the same for all until im done typing, then the are model specific as to programming.

2 resistors are required. directions state you need to run a 150 ohm resistor to the blue/yel on your radio harness, 47 ohm resistor to the grn/blk OR red.

what that means is your going to tag them to those wires. solder your connections, and the opposite side of the resistor that you just tagged to the blu.yel and grn/blk or red, connect to the white wire from the pac interface.

then tag brn/wh to ground.
