Thanks a lot
I am getting swi jack
I noticed on ebay that they have resistors like 47omh, but with different W, some is 1W and some 1/4 W, which should I get?
Also, do you know any local stores that might have it? Do you think Discount Auto Parts could have it?

Brought 1/4 w resistors in radioshack for $2.5.

One more question,
you said 47 ohm resistor to the grn/blk OR red, does that mean that there will be these two wires and I randomly choose which to connect to? (green/black vs. red)

Also, where are all these wires? are they in the same harness that goes into Metra harness kit?

ur sure they are 47ohm and not 47k or 4.7k ohm right? and yes you can use either one, if it doesnt work, then tag the other wire color. they should be on one of the wiring harnesses from the vehicles harness that plugged into the factory radio.

those ^^^ are what are required. if the ones you have are wrong, you can go back to radio shack, and if they dont have one of those in stock, you can do basic math and get resistors that add up in value to 47 or 150 ohms.

like for the 150 ohm resistor for instance, if they dont have them, you can buy a pack of 100 ohm and one pack of 10 ohm resistors, and use ONE 100 ohm resistor, with 5 10 ohm resistors wired in series.

Tigersharkdude,
Did you need anything else besides the 51 harness? I read that xr810 has output only 2..5v, did you need any adapter to increase sound? You had any whining noise?

2.5 is a little above avg for affordable equipment, avg is 2v for radios that range under $200. if you have engine noise, add another ground to the radio, or relocate the ground source, but you should not have an issue

Hey,
I did the job this friday, it took me about 2-3 hours. Cut my fingers a little but everything works perfect

I put in JVC 810 with PAC Jack steering wheel control module and used PAC ROEM harness. No problems at all.

Thats a lot for your help people, especially
Joeker
Tigersharkdude and
Goomzthegeneral

I might write guide about it, but not sure yet. I will soon post guide on sound dampening.

My next step is probably adding another sub or bazooka. I might have free bazooka to use, so I was wondering if I'll be able to mount it in the hole between trunk and seats, but not sure if it will fit.

Yeah, to be honest I actually thought I will have some problems because so many wires makes everything kind of complicated setting steering wheel controls was kind of complicated, but it went smooth, although the controls are not as good now, I have to hold the control for half a second to make them do their job

Dude, they are all like that. There is always a delay. You would think they would been able to fix that by now. *sigh*
