+1 with this

anyway, I am using s tech on my car, I LOVE the DROP but I HATE the RIDE...

i went to a local body shop and they told me it is more cost effective to fill it in as opposed to finding a bumper. they didnt give me a price. ill try another place.

maybe you can make a beauty plate for it and mold it onto the trunk. just a template of something maybe abs plastic, or smoked and painted plexiglass? to physically cover the gap? idk i dont know much about body work and what can and can't be used.

Go to the junkyard and get a cheap cracked bumper that has the same curvature profile as your bumper. Cut out the license plate opening from your bumper and glue a piece of the junkyard bumper in behind your bumper using epoxy or something similar. Then go to town with bondo, sandpaper, and sanding primer. Once smooth, take it to a body shop to have it finished and sprayed.

you can't put that much bondo on a plastic bumper, first bump and it's on the street. use a pice of a scrap bumper yes but you have to epoxy it in flush. use black auto epoxy thats made for bumper repair can sand it down smooth. if done right no filler is needed.

I've been trying to figure out what to do with the extra plate holder in the bumper too.
That style of A32 only seems to be 1. The Brougham model 2. 00-01 (instead of the A33) and 3. In the Philippines and Malaysia.

I've been to Japan 5 times and I've never seen that style of A32 there.

I've contacted Sy also and I'm waiting for a response.

hey sorry i haven't been around recently, had some issues back home. my parents got into a car accident with the white 5th gen i posted before, car got totaled. after the accident, my father had a heart attack due to all the stress and **** load of medicine he was given.

i'm back tho, I haven't worked on my car in a long time. I might have to sell to help contribute to my family..

but here's a recent picture..

Just saying.....I had alot of expensive repairs with beamers. They are cheap to buy, but expensive to maintain. Something to think about before purchasing "guy"! No reason to be a d--k about it. I'm just trying to give the guy some insight.

Besides, I bought a amp off you a couple of months ago....

This forum has nothing to do with BMW's, and this thread is certainly not the place to start an unwanted discussion about the differences between the two.

Everyone has, and is entitled to their own opinion. If the OP was asking if he SHOULD buy the car, then it's appropriate to offer your opinion. In this case, it's not.

And I fail to see how a prior transaction between us has ANYTHING to do with this conversation.

Wow! This is why I have stayed off of this forum for sometime now. Everyone is waaayyyy to critical.

I believe he mentioned something about buying a 330XI....No?

and honestly.... I can offer my opinion whenever I feel. Welcome to America!

And your right....me buying something off of you doesn't have anything to do with this! D--K!

the entire grill? what about the chrome on the rest of the car? what if i blacked out everything? i might try blacking out the teeth of the grill and leave the outline in chrome to see how it looks. now i need an in dash, some subs, intake, exhaust and ill be done until i'm out of school. by then, i hope to do a 3.5 swap. i don't want to get rid of the car she's been through hell with me i have too much love for it.
