You'll be wasting more time and money shipping ballasts back and forth with Xentec. I finally said screw it and purchased the DDM Tuning Slim Kit for $40, and haven't been disappointed. Ballasts fire up to full brightness in 10-12 seconds, and they dont flicker at all unlike my Xentec which would flicker all the time. No complaints whatsoever

Either your fuse is done or its ballasts again. The xentec ballasts work really weird, they work sometimes and sometimes not. You can test the fog harness by connecting regular led bulb, but I'd still say its xentec ballasts.

i checked the fuse, they are fine.. i also bought a circuit test light and tested my fog light harness and there is no power going to it, even when i turn on the headlights and foglights.. now i am stuck so i'm thinking about wiring them up to my sidemarker lights, will this short out my circuit for the sidemarkers?

Dude, its probably your ballasts! Did you try just a regular halogen bulb to verify? There's no way you dont have power unless your fuse is bad. I'm telling you, my Xentecs went out, and took my fuse with them, leading me to believe I ****ed something up as well. Not the case at all

Same thing happened to mother. I'm replacing them with some spare DDM ballasts that I have here.

Oh and that happened three days after I installed them..

yes, i tested the harness by plugging in with my sidemaker lights harness and it still doesn't work.. i'm pretty sure that it's not the fuse because i just bought the fuse from the dealership, i might have to call up a few electronic shops to have them take a look at it

That should let you know it's the ballasts man. I went through two sets of ballasts before I finally gave up on them. I should have listened on avoiding them to begin with. Like ChrisMan287 said in his experience, my fogs would be fine for a couple of nights, them BAM, one was out, then the next day, both were out, within a span of a couple of days of installing them. I wired it all up to be water tight and mounted ballasts properly as well. Checked my fuse when I received my DDM ballasts, and sure enough, the fuse was blown. Unless you modified your factory fog light harness, there is no reason you should not have power.

What I did, was ended up cutting off the plug on the factory fog light harness, so I could solder in the power cables for the HIDs. I cut the plug long enough away that I could just re-solder it back to factory if I ever decided to the sell the car, or go a different route. But I am telling you, I am 99.9999% positive that your ballasts just went out. I would simply ask for a full refund, and wait the 7-10 days for some DDM ones for a little bit more money. Just my .02, since it would be cheaper than going around to have your car looked at by a shop

What I meant when I asked if you tried a halogen bulb was if you simply took your factory H3 halogen bulb, and tried to power up your fogs, no HID kit or anything. Are you saying that the halogen bulb does not work as well?

Test the ballasts/bulbs right off the battery.

i will try to switch around the ballasts and see if one of them is out because i have the same zentec brand on my low beam kit and they are working just fine.. i think i will try cutting the wire harness and soldering to see if that works, but yea my halogen fogs didn't even work when i tried hooking them up.. oh and btw, do you guys' fog light make a click noise when you turn it on like the headlights? mine doesn't for some reason..

fog light wiring

Has anyone had to replace the wiring from the fog light? My car was wrecked before I purchased it and I'm assuming they opted out for the new 1300 dollar engine harness. So the wiring for the fog light is missing. I want to hope that the wiring is just cut and not completely removed because the other side fog light works. I also have the service manual with diagram but I can't make heads or tails of it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I went with the Kensun kit on Amazon for around $65 and after reading the reviews about thin wires I decided to drill the caps rather than splicing. Problem is the wholes are about 5/8 diameter. Any one know what that rubbery stick substance that can patch the hole or have any other suggestions on how to fill the holes. I was thinking of finding some other plastic and using some epoxy to cover the hole.
