Planning next upgrade (sub)
#41
Here is another idea,
I tried to mount amp under rear deck but unfortunately is slightly bigger, so I figured I will mount it on the sub box.
But here is what I thought, since I will keep my stock amp and sub, you think I could use rca cables for aftermarket sub to power up my bose sub?
I see there output sub + and -,
is that all I need? If yes, isn't pair of RCA cable has + and - in each wire?

Dont know BUT there is no point if you have a new sub. It would also take away power from your new sub (your amp is weak, dont try to push it to hard or you will kill it). You should really post this in the A/V sub-forum

since you replaced your deck, use the subs dedicated pre out. you will get the cleanest signal and maximum sq this way.
i believe all the bose speakers are individually amped, including the sub. if you were keeping your radio stock, then you could purchase a line out converter, or a hi/lo (same thing 2 diff names), tag the 2 wires for the sub for your signal from there, and then out into the aftermarket bass amp, but since you replaced the deck, you wont be needing to do this.
