I35/Maxima dual exhaust

Can i take a stock Maxima 3.5 dual exhaust and put it on my I35 without having to change any other parts? I dont have a whole lot of cash flow comming in and i'd like to put a dual exhaust on it. When i bought the car it needed a new muffler and my mechanic said it has weird headers on it and that it needed a specific Infiniti brand muffler...$700 later im looking to add a little more performance.

What year Maxima is it? If it's 2004+, then I'm pretty sure the different body style is a different chassis design, which I would think means that it's a no-go

nope defiantly wouldn't work but if your i35 fits an exhaust from an i30. You can look on ebay type in 01 "maxima" of course and bid on one of those srs tuning catback exhaust I got lucky and actually bought one for only 268 with shipping and there probably getting rid of them and only have 9 left

sorry for the late reply yes the dual tip muffler one usually cost around 380 with shipping

It's sounds great feels great then my rusty stock system, but I had to run around without the muffler as it wasn't easy on my car Idk cause its an i30 thing or w.e but I had to lower my suspension to snake the muffler though and connect it

I doubt it'll work. You're going to have to go custom.

You'll need to use a dual tip muffler with turndown tips...I30/I35 don't have dual tip cutouts like the 00-03 Maxima's do!

Not to take this thread in another direction. I been looking into actually doing a dual setup similar to 6th gen Maxima's and Maxima's overseas. I was thinking of running 3" from cat to a 3" to 2.5" y where the exhaust tunnel ends and splitting 1 - 2.5" left and 1 - 2.5" pipe right mirroring current setups just on the drives side as well; following the gas tank around then to 2 - 2.5" vibrant muffler. Has anyone attempted to do this or is it even possible?
