Can We Make A Trunk Valet Switch??

I was wondering if it's possible to make a trunk valet switch for the glove box just like in the maximas. I know we have the valet lever on the trunk lock mechanism but it's a pain having to drop the back seat down and use the emergency release lever to open the trunk. Anyone else interested in one of these or am I on my own??

Drop the back seat down and pull the emergency release? Why not just use the key?

I got a 04 I35, there is no keyhole. Wish there was though, would make things easier.

Don't you have the electronic button for the trunk and the gas cap cover under the driver's side armrest?

When you engage the switch on the trunk pop mechanism, you can't open the trunk via the switch on the driver door or the remote. On the I30 with the switch engaged' you would use the keyhole on the trunk to open it, but the keyhole is nonexistent on the I35

Exactly, that's why I would like to put a switch in the glove box to make it easier instead of having to drop down the back seat everytime to pull the release mechanism. I think this would be helpful.

I agree...how hard would it have been to put a hidden keyhole/handle somewhere without messing with the integrity of the design. When I work on the car and disconnect the battery it's always a pain to go through the back seat because i forget to pop the trunk
