After market headlights for 2000 i30t

Hi I am new here and have searched the forum for the answer to my question. I just bought a 2000 Infiniti i30 touring edition. I am looking to get new headlights as one of the stock ones is broken. Being that the touring edition comes with hid headlights I need to know if a set of aftermarket lights made for an i30 will work with my hid low beams.

well just letting you know you need to buy the i35 headlights and get a H.I.D conversion kit in ordered to get the H.I.D output because the 2000 to 2001 have the halogen headlights touring or not

unless you already had the H.I.D conversion kit when you bought the car then get the i35 headlights and you should be set

look up ebay I have seen some pretty good deals on some new headlights or the classified section

Sorry maybe my terminology is wrong, all of the touring models come with xenon headlights which I thought was the same as hid requiring a ballast. I know that the headlights on my car have a factory stamp saying they are hid and one web site I was on looking at after market lights said they would not work on the touring model. Maybe I am confused, I could really use some help on this. I know my headlights are a extremely white and flicker once when I turn them on.

ok I might be wrong about the halogen headlights but you car came with this right?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-01-Infini...6569eb&vxp=mtr

for the headlights you try these not sure if you would like them, but you need a very strong warranty on them due to them failing sometimes because there not OEM

If you want OEM then you need i35 headlights I tried looking up the headights for your model that came with it but I'm unsure it will work

You guys are spitting out the wrong information. I30s can come with xenon headlights if it has the Touring package.

I took a quick look on eBay and found some at $230 shipped each but you'd have to confirm with the seller that they take D2R bulbs. In the description it says "with touring package" but I think they can be halogen as well.

It's an option for the 2000-01 I30t, but for the 2002-04 I30t/I35 it was standard for the xenon bulbs.

Do the 2002-04 i35 lights fit properly on the 2000-01 i30? If they do should I be looking at lights made specifically for the i35 so they will work with my factory hid bulbs? Thank you everyone for your responses, they have been helpful

I was wondering more about the fitment of the factory hid bulbs in the aftermarket lights. Does anyone have experience with using aftermarket lights on a 2000-01 i30 or a 2002-04 i35? I read somewhere that it may require somekind of adapter of some sort.

Okay i have been doing some research and it looks like i can use the aftermarket projectors in my i30t with factory hid if i use D2S/R to amp connectors and get a set of h7 hid bulbs. I am new to this car and this is my first time messing with hid lights so if anyone knows if this is what i need and if i will need anything else please respond. I dont have the cash to order parts and hope i can make them work. On another note i have ordered a 3000k hid kit for my fogs. I guess if this kit works out and i cant figure out how to make my factory hids work with aftermarket housings then i could just use another aftermarket hid kit with the aftermarket lights.

Thank you everyone on the forum for being so helpful. I was able to confirm what i was asking by reading the responses to a question posted after mine that ask the same thing. I have been a member of several different forums and have not seen new members treated with as much disrespect as they are here. That is just an observation, not me crying because you didnt give me any helpful answers to the question i posed.

My I30t took h3 bulbs, I'd say that the I35 is the same.

I used a Clear View h3 kit i got from Amazon for $60 for my fogs. I havent had any problems with it. I drilled four 9/64" holes in the dust cover and made all my connections inside using heat shrink tape. I felt they would be better protected than having two of them outside the cover. Install only took about half an hour start to finish
