Ignition coils and spark plugs ?? p1320 code

2000 I30 with 140k is idling very rough and unable to pass inspection, its gettin a p1320 code when the mechanic runs a diagnostic test.

Thinks i need ignition coils and spark plugs, but theyre 80-100 bucks apiece but i see i can grab an entire set for 150 on feebay.

Anyone have experience with feebay coils and plugs, because it seems too good to be true and i'd hate to get burned trying to save some money.

I've read a bunch of posts where someone got those e-bay specials and within 6 months they were having problems again. So I think you should stay away from them.

I have 3 coils from Autozone on my car for about 2 years now and not having any problems with them. They are less expensive than Nissan coils, $58 front, $65 rear.

Yeah dont get ebay coils. I haven't had them in for literally 1 mile and I have a P1320 code now. I was trying to save money because they're about $450 at Napa for the cheapest ones and $68 on ebay so I figured its at least worth a shot to see what happens. I was having a problem where all my coils or boots were arcing so I will try to take the boots from the ebay ones and put them on the oem coils so that way I can determine if my oem coils themselves are arcing or just the boots and then return the coils/boots and hopefully all it needs are new boots...

Rockauto.com has OE-listed coils, use those. Use the recommended NGK plugs (or use their iridiums). Front coils are super easy, the backs are a little more of a challenge. Have a telescoping magnet handy. You may need to move some vacuum hoses out of the way, depending on how big your hands are.

There was a TSB about this years ago, surprised some cars haven't had the issue yet.
