I30t headlight assembly replacement

Howdy, folks. My buddy wrecked his '01 i30t, and needs new headlight assemblies. Both old ones were factory xenon lights. While I was at the junkyard, I pulled some headlight assemblies from another '01 i30 (without the touring package), and noticed that the wiring was different. Additionally, many of the aftermarket headlight assemblies specifically state that they won't work with factory HID lights (example link below).

Does anyone know of any aftermarket solutions that would work with the factory HID system? If something says it will work with the i30t, does that mean it should work for an i30t with the factory xenon lights? Any replies would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Joe

Are his headlight housings trash? Or are just the lenses broken?

The brackets on both are shot, and one of the lenses is as well.

You'll need I30T specific ones. I've seen them on eBay but they're quite expensive being that they're xenon.

Well here's the odd thing: many headlights say "with touring package" (so it should work with the t, see link), but then it'll say "halogen only". So I don't know if the limiting factor is the "t" or the fact that this car came with xenon lights...if that makes sense.

The limiting factor is that his are xenon. You'll know that you've found them when they're around $300 a side not a pair.

Ah, thank you. So I take it that virtually all aftermarket headlight assemblies won't be compatible?

Ask these two sellers if they're xenon or not:

I doubt it but worth a shot.
