2002 Infiniti I35 randomly stalled on road
I own a 2002 Infiniti I35 with 139,000 miles (just hit the mark).
While driving under 50 mph, I left my house and 2 miles later, the car stalled and the engine turned off. I braked, put the car in park, and turned it off completely. The car wouldn't turn back on, but the alternator worked, so it wasn't the battery. My dad and I had no idea what to do. He pressed on something in the engine a few times and I tried to start the car again and it worked! Needless to say I went right home and used a different car. While driving back home the SLIP light and the TCS OFF light were on, as well as the SES light. I turned the car off, gave it 5 minutes and then turned it back on. The SLIP and TCS OFF light went off, but the SES light is still on.
The lever that my dad pressed is in the left top corner of the engine. Here are a few images.
Does anyone know what happened or how much it's going to cost to fix?

The part your dad pushed on is the Power Valve Actuator. It is part of the VIAS (Variable Induction Air control System). I seriously doubt that that did anything helpful.
I have not heard of this causing the engine to die, but anything is possible. What would be very helpful is if you would take the car to an auto parts store and that your check engine light is on and ask them to read the codes. This is a free service most auto parts stores do for people, unless you live in California where it is illegal.
Once you get the code (or codes), let us know what it is and then we can give you some useful advice.

Thanks!
Thanks everybody. It took a while, but we did find the issue. My dad didn't want me to go to an auto store, but to a local guy (Dunno why, but I had to live with it.) It was a CAM sensor that needed to be replaced. Now it runs nice and smooth with no lights on!
Thanks Guys!!
