Replacing rear panel trim on driver seat

I made the unfortunate mistake of storing heavy items in the rear pocket of my driver's seat of my 2001 Infiniti I30. Turns out it's only designed to be pretty, not functional. Anyway, the particle board and push pins are all messed up, so I went to the salvage yard to try to find another seat rear panel. I had a difficult time removing it & wound up messing up that particle board as well, so back to square one.

Does any one know how to safely remove the rear trim panel of a driver's seat without damaging the plastic push pins and the particle board?

Service Bulletin NTB02-036 SEATBACK BOARD REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Those seatback panels are very difficult to remove even when following the TSB above. The panels are just cardboard and it's very easy to damage the area where the clips slide into the cardboard. Good luck.

No problem, sorry I couldn't be more help. I think the trick is to get the trim removal tool to release the clips as described in step 4 but I know that's a lot easier said than done.
