Front End Issue

I have a 2000 i30t that has front end noise. The other day was driving fine then it felt like the right front brake was not letting up. After a 5 mile drive the rim was super hot. So I assumed that the caliper was stuck. Took the tire off and tried to bleed the brake line. Nothing coming out. So I put a new caliper on and everything seemed fine. Then today, same thing. Front right wheel feels like brake is on and very bad rumbling at 45 mph. Rim hot to the touch again. You can physically feel the drag when this happens. Problem is also intermittent, so I'm not thinking wheel bearing but I could be wrong.

New tires on the car so that is not the problem.

On a side note, when I turn right, I hear a noise like exhaust tinning, but only on right turns, not left. Not sure if this is part of the problem.

Please help.

Have you checked your brake caliper pins? if these are corroded and not sliding freely, the brakes pads may drag on the rotor.

The noise could be the splash shield rubbing on one of the brakes.

rubbing noise got worse on my home today. I reached in and bent the splash shield back away from rotor. Noise was getting worse so I pulled the tire and got new pads. Try to lubricate top pin and lo and behold, it's frozen solid in the bracket. Try everything to get it out. No luck. Need to take to a brake shop since I can't get enough leverage to get bracket bolts off.
Changed right side pads and new caliper but still feels like the brakes are grabbing intermittently.
So could the left side stuck pin be my overall issue?

It's hard for me to say yes with absolute certainty over the internet. The pins will cause one brake pad to wear out much faster because bad pins keep pressure on one brake pad by preventing the pads from re-centering.

I really don't know what the noise could be. You mentioned a rumbling noise in your original post. Driving with a dragging brake heats up the wheel hub, which transfers heat into the rim. The wheel bearing is in the wheel hub also and maybe the heat has caused the bearing to fail. Don't know. If you are taking the car to a shop, ask them to check the wheel bearing.
