OEM relay question

Anyone know if a 2000/2001 Nissan maxima relay box works for a 2000 I30?

It depends on which relay box you are talking about. If you look under the hood, you will find 2 relay boxes.

The one by the battery is the same with one condition. There is a different box for auto trans and manual trans.

The other relay box is different between Maxima and Infiniti. The Infiniti has an additional relay not used in the Nissan. The relay is for the cornering lights.

But you probably have not asked the question properly. The box itself is identical for the 2 cars. You can plug any kind of relay you want in the box in any of the positions. What makes them unique to the car is the wire harness that all the relays plug into.

Well what happened was i hit a deer. My battery busted, and the acid completely ate the relay box thats in front of the battery, behind the drivers head light. So i have to get a completly new one...i had ordered one from ebay before and it said it was from a mazda but would fit the i30...in the end i had more wire coming from the car, then i did coming from the relay box. The relay box had 5 relays in it, but im assuming the i30 needs 6. Just got a new one so hoping it works

No.

There were some major changes made to the electrical system of the 2002 and the relays are not the same.
