Bringing a 2001 i30 back to life
The OD Flash can Mean a Few things. Scan the trans for Codes. I would also Check Charge Voltage. Make sure the alt and battery are in good health aswell.
I would buy cats and put them back on the car. The 3.5 will just shut down with a glogged cat. I have no recommendation other than to Not gut them. Its not a bad job to do. What is most important though is that the engine is in good running condition first.

So the cats weren’t clogged and I did a tune up but the car still misses at times. Yesterday the car kept bogging down and wouldn’t move. The car has no power down low and when I try WOT it won’t even redline etc
the lights being on could be many different things, could be as simple as a bad speed sensor could be the ABS module fried, you need to diagnose it (use a haynes manual) or bring it to a good mechanic
the low power issue could also be different things, what comes to mind right away is a bad/weak fuel pump or clogged/dirty fuel filter or fuel lines, could be a dirty/clogged air filter, some really basic stuff you need to check
did you take apart the throttle body and clean it ?
