The only thing that needs to be done is with the turbo... it needs to be tuned properly.... it also needs an auxiliary fuel pump.

I drive it everyday and average 18 - 21 mpg.

I am sorry to inform you, but you are going to have to grip reality. You are not going to get nowhere near 22k for that car. Even with all those mods, you arent going to get much over blue book. Somebody can always get something done cheaper than you. Modding a car is a risky business. You never get anywhere near what you put into the car. I am willing to bet the most some person is willing to pay, or the highest offer you got so far was about 18k.

Thanks for the lesson, newbie...

I sure am glad I can learn a something from someone with 11 posts, even after all my years here on the org...

This car is for someone who wants a car that's already built to the hilt, not someone who buys cheap azz shiet and run's with a GAB (look that one up)

blah blah blah...... modding a car is a risky business? i dont think its a business at all, last time i checked it was more of a hobby....

either way, a modded car has a certain "right" buyer who appreciates whats done to it and would pay every penny to have it. apprenatly in this case, thats beyond what most of the .org can even afford. and most people dont get the big picture. it will probably cost one way more to fix up a maxima the same exact way on the long run than what he is asking for it. IMO this car is more than a good deal for the right buyer

i wanna know if you would post the same BS if he was selling a 67 fully restored mustang for 100k.

hnda, just because i havent been on this forum doesnt mean i am a newbie to cars. I have been around nissans and mitsu's along time. My dad owns a 95 240sx, and i have always been up for helping him do whatever he needs to his car since i was around 15 or so. Then from the tender age of about 18 or so i drove my eclipse and did all my own work. So i know about modding cars, and i didnt mean it as an actual business, but you are taking a chance and wont ever see the money you put into the car.

Oh and vip. How rare a car is, and over all interest helps on resale value. Would you pay 10k for a fully restored 1989 Honda civic hatch?

Thank you....goodnight!

Very nice car. Much luck on selling it. You will find the right person that wants a monster modded performance Maxima and does not want to do it them selves or does not know how.

Know about modifying cars, eh??
You'll never see money that you put into a car, eh?
I would have to disagree with you 100% about that, my friend.
I MADE money on my MKIII supra, FC, first maxima, and broke close to even on my second maxima.
Also made money on my Gixxer and 600RR...
Why? Because I built them right. I spent my time and did things right with all the right parts...
There are PLENTY of people out there that really know cars and the kind of work that has gone into them... When the see a car that is well built, they're willing to spend the money so that they can buy what they already wanted, but turn-key, no work involved for them.
If I had 22K I would most definitely spend it on this car... Because I've researched enough about doing this to my car, and would spend much more than his asking price... But one thing you are correct about, most of the time you will never get back everything you put into it... But if done correctly, like this incredibly well built Maxima, there is someone willing to spend the money because they "know about modding cars".

Don't take any of this offensively... But sometimes you just don't speak when it's not your place. This is a For sale thread, not a "tell me what you think about my car that's for sale" thread... That's what PM's.

So with that said... welcome to the .org... Next time don't crap on someones thread with useless information.

No.
1. It's an 89... It's not a "classic" yet.
2. This maxima isn't restored, it's modified.
3. Comparing a '67 Mustang to an '89 Civic hatch is retarded.
4. How rare a care is... How many other Turbo 5.5 Gens have you seen rolling around??
5. Thank you, good night.

PS: Bump for an extremely well built maxima!
