1996 Maxima, Auto, GLE - 600 Dollars!!

Hey guys,

Have a 1996 Maxima GLE here at the shop that I'd like to get rid of as it's in the way

600 dollars (OBO) takes it.

The car has issues with the automatic transmission. The engine runs well, but the gas in the car is easily stale, and 2 years old at least. The rest of the car is operational.

I'd normally fix a car like this, but with my 240 still waiting on parts for the transmission, and building another sr20 for a customer at the same time, I just don't have time to dinker with this.

ALL FACTORY INTAKE STUFF AND ENGINE BAY PARTS ARE INCLUDED. The intake parts/maf are hooked up now, but there are still some parts in the trunk.


The rear driver quarter has some damage as well (previous owner claims to have backed into a tree) but the rear tail lamps do seal. The car has the stock lenses with it (to replace those horrid altezzas), but does need that side (obviously damaged)

Interior the car is in good shape. Needs a vacuum, but aside from that a very complete car. Would be great for repair, or an awesome parts car.

Car does need front driver corner lamp as well (unsure why it's gone). Everything on/with the car is included.

I'm debating on parting the car out, but would rather sell complete to someone who needs many things.

Car is located in: Stroudsburg PA (18360) behind our shop.

i need parts for my maxi and i was wondering is the timing chain a common problem with maximas

 

no, the timing chain on maximas generally outlast the life of the car so i've been told numerous times.

That car would be an awsome parts car. I'd like to have the front bumper lights + fog lights, but someone is going to come and swipe this up. You could easily make a grand with all of the parts on it.

 

Unsure. If I were to part it out, I'd like to get 200 dollars for it.

That's the way I look at it as well. Car is in great shape, and could easily be driven for 300-600 bucks invested.

We'll see how this goes. Someone could easily scoop this up, and make a nice profit from parting it out.

Nah I'm not gonna buy it. I sent him an email about some parts, not the whole car. I don't have $600 let alone $300.

You can always shoot him an email, give him an offer for the rear doors, and see if he takes it. But FYI, your car is a GLE, so the trim around your doors is chrome. The trim around the GXE is just black, so your front doors won't match with the rears. Also your car has pinstripes and the 1 for sale doesn't, so you'll have to take yours off. Then you'll have to swap the interior of the doors if they don't match. Then you'll be all good.

no the car was a kn?, it was a dark purple. but i can have any part repainted for you if you'd like.
