F.S. 2002 MAXIMA, 157,000 mi. Syracuse, NY
F.S. 2002 MAXIMA, 157,000 mi. Syracuse, NY
-------------------------PLEASE READ FIRST!!!!-------------------------
The car is registered/inspected in Pennsylvania until 9/10
I am currently located 15 miles South of Syracuse, NY on I-81
There IS a lien on the title through Toyota Financial Services.
Once a buyer presents sufficient funds, the car can be taken. We would have to sign & notarize a Bill of Sale which also states I'll send the title to the new owner as soon as I receive it. T.F.S. says that I will receive the title in 2-3 days after submitting the payoff amount. Simple as That.
I am asking $5,500 OBO for the car as-is!
Please feel free to call or message me with any questions....

OK, I am trying this one more time on maxima.org
I bought another car more suitable for my use and I need to get rid of the Maxima.
I bought the car in Oct. 2006 with 102,000 miles on it. I purchased the car from the Stealership and It was leased from "New" before that. With those miles, I calculated that the car had to be driven approximately 60-70 miles everyday so it's pretty safe to assume the majority to be highway miles.
The miles that I put on the car are also mainly highway miles.
NO Accidents! The only incident I've had with the car is hitting a deer with the RF corner. This involved a new hood, RF fender, and R-side headlight. The front bumper was also re-painted with these new parts. The parts used were all brand new NISSAN OEM products. The paint and repairs were all performed by my Dad who has 30+ years of reputable body/collision experience!
I've done the maintenance on the car such as: spark plugs, oil changes (currently using Royal Purple and Mobil 1 filters), transmission fluid (Redline MT-90), cabin air filter, and any repairs/modifications that have been done during my ownership of the vehicle- wheel bearings, brakes, axles, suspension, etc.
I also have the stock suspension to throw in if desired.
The car:
- 2002 Maxima SE
- 6 speed w/ HLSD
- Majestic Blue w/ Frost Cloth Interior
- Bose sound system
- Auto-dimming rear view mirror
- Power Sunroof
- Power driver seat
- HID headlights
Aftermarket:
- TEIN SuperStreet coilovers (fully adjustable). Installed around 120K
- NWP Thermal Intake Spacer Kit
- Stillen short-ram Intake
- Stillen Front Strut Tower Brace
- Stillen Rear Sway Bar
- Pioneer single din CD player: iPod compatible and functional steering wheel controls
- TOYO Proxes FZ4 225 45 R17
The Good:
This Maxima still runs very strong. It gets up and goes, still pulls and has many, many miles of life left in it. The car is very reliable and I have no doubts as far as that is concerned.
The car is very clean and looks damn pretty when she's cleaned up.
It rides nice and firm, sticks to the road and stays flat through the corners. It has not been clutch-dumped or beaten to death. I stray from redlining the car and It has only been driven by a couple of people other people than me; ALWAYS with me in the car.
The interior is in very good condition other than the normal wear on the front seat bottoms, steering wheel, and floormats; even this isn't an eyesore.
The Bad:
- I get an occasional P0430 code. This code has come and gone many times over the past couple of years in no repetitious pattern. I haven't noticed any difference in the way the car runs with OR without the code. No funny smells and it consistently gets 400+ miles to a tank of 91+ octane.
- The car could use, at least, 2 new rear tires. I bought the TOYO tires in May 2008 and since then I've noticed that the rears wore funny on the inside. There's still plenty of tread, it's just that they are cupped and cause a humming (NOT a vibration) that I hear at certain speeds. I say it could use AT LEAST 2 new tires because if I were keeping the car I'd get 4 new tires of a different brand; I wasn't impressed/happy with these tires for the car.
- New top strut mounts would probably improve the ride dramatically. I should have, but didn't install these when I put the coilovers on. It rides good and fine now, but I just think that new strut mounts would be a good addition considering the miles.

goodluck man. Youre price is MORE than fair. No one should be giving you one penny less. The car easily has MANY more miles left and comes with some nice goodies. It shouldnt last long.
i agree, dont settle for not a penny less, its been a long time and desperation may set in but dont give in...
I would just buy my car and be done with it if I were you!

also, I AM NOT PARTING OUT AT THIS TIME, SORRY.....
Still a fair price and I'm also accepting reasonable offers!
Please, serious inquiries only. If you don't have the money, please don't act like you're going to buy the car.

What do I have to do to sell this car???
Reasonable price and I'll still accept a good offer... C'mon people!!
I'm losing any faith in selling something here; so many talkers but none that come through.... ...

There are alot of factors of why the car has not sold. The winter time deters buyers to test drive vehicles. Also, this forum limits your market. In other words, people already have Maximas. Currently, it is a competitive marketplace on maxima.org there are quite a few '02-'03 6MT available. Although your vehicle is the most affordable for only $2K-3K more you can get a maxima with about half the miles.
My advice would be to demod and sell as many parts as possible. Then sell as a consignment vehicle.

lol...god damn lowballers. when you get 1500 more, contact the OP. otherwise, stfu

i wouldnt let the car go for less than 5500...more than fair, with some nice additions...

Thanks HOTSHOTvq; the car is well below KBB given the miles and it's in damn-good condition PLUS the coilovers and some little extras. People try to make a good deal into a steal.
The car wouldn't be advertised much cheaper if it was in stock condition so if no one buys it now, they won't wanna pay a similar price W/O all the goodies... ....

Good eye. The passenger side Headlight was replaced after the deer incident so that makes the 'original' driver's side light appear foggy. It does have the standard amount of haze on it for an 8 year old light, i guess.
I've went over the headlights several times with headlamp buffing/cleaning pads but they'll never look as good as new. They still look good as ****t at night though!

Let's make a deal man!!
WOW! This thread went downhill fast. Not to beat a dead horse, but this car is definitely worth the money. I had every intention of picking it up, but some personal things came up and had to use the money elsewhere. The car is definitely worth it. Good luck with the sale Jeremy and don't worry about what other people say.
yea, dont worry about what others have to say. If you sold your car for $4k including the tein SS coilovers, that means your alone w/o the SS, would be $3k. $3k for a 6mt 5.5gen?!? Are you kidding me? No way. Your price is fair. I do admit the deer part would scare me too but thats when reciepts for the work to fix it come in handy. Its a used car, accidents should be expected. $5500 is a good price, stick to it.

If he's at $7200 so far with 112k miles, you should be able to get your price. Post it up on ebay.

Thanks for the recognition guys!
I too believe the car is worth it, it's just taking some time to sell b/c I'm not putting a lot of money into advertising the car everywhere!
90max was just here whining to prove his knowledge of nothing; everything he claimed he had no proof of. I'm glad the moderator deleted his waste of space & time.
to the top, once again!

Dont listen to this, GLWS dont worry when you least expect it someone will pop up with the cash
SOLD!
My MAXIMA was a great/fun car and I'm sure the new owner will enjoy it just as much!
Hopefully (in time) I will be in a position to purchase another 5.5 gen. These are the best and most attractive Maxima's, in my opinion!
