F/S 93 GXE Auto, Black/Beige, Lo miles in NYC
After 5 years of ownership its time to part with the Max to make room for the new Mazda 5 for my growing family. It was owned by another family across the street since new so I think Im the 3rd owner possibly the 2nd depending on how they registered it when it was passed on.
1993 GXE Automatic, black with beige cloth, drum rears.
74,000 Miles
Asking $3000 negotiable
Never painted, so no major accidents and no rust, looks great for its age.
Interior in great shape, no rips burns or stains.
Adult owned, never raced or modified. Tranny shifts perfectly, engine runs smooth, no smoke and starts right up no matter what the weather.
It would be extremely hard to find one in better shape unmodified.
New:
Tokico Struts
Axles
4 window regulators
2 new injectors
Timing Belt, tensioner and pulley
Water Pump
Spark plugs and wires
Cap and rotor
Battery
Coolant Hoses
Thermostat
Brembo Front rotors
Front upgraded pads and rear shoes
2001 SE rims with Hankook tires, about 75% tread left
Pioneer Head unit plays MP3 discs
Fog lights
Crimestopper alarm with remote start and trunk release
K&N Filter
Warpspeed y-pipe with Cat (not installed but stock pipe just went, I think thats why my wife wanted a new car suddenly lol)
edit - forgot to add new O2 sensor and Alternator, not much left to go wrong really!
Now the Bad:
Rear Bumper is awful but easy to find a matching replacement
Exhaust leaks but have all parts and gaskets to fix
Need to replace the fuel lines, gas smell on cold days
Not much bad, its a good reliable car and I would not hesitate to take it on any trip. Once its cleaned up it really looks good.

To save you the trouble, KBB values are:
$2780 for excellent
$2480 for good
$2105 for fair

Thanks, shes been a good car for us, just needs a few minor things to be perfect. Guaranteed it will run another 74,000 mi as it sits, easily....... We have only been doing about 5000mi/year so it could have lasted us until my 3 year old went to college as her first car lol.

Well if I were to keep it more than the next month
..............I'm very particular about my vehicles so I'm talking items that are not even urgent.
The list of things I would do if it were staying with me is:
Change out the front y-pipe (ok this one is necessary and I would change it for you if you had to drive it back to chicago)
Take off the intake and clean out the idle air motor
Change the fuel lines and vacuum lines while its apart
I would also change the other 4 injectors so I dont have to think about them ever again but thats just me being obsessive
I would swap out the left front caliper, it squeals sometimes and I tried everything else to make it stop except that
Lastly the door lock timer acts up from time to time so I would change it too
Its a fairly short and inexpensive list, and if were not winter I would have already done most of them by now. I'm off from work currently, so we might be able to work something out as far as getting the car to Chicago if you buy it.

well, I have to see what happens with my lease car. If I am actually able to get rid of it (the guy came to look at it today, just waiting to see if he makes an offer) then Im definitely interested but if you sell it in the meantime, no worries.
Thanks
Thanks
I got your email...sorry I havent replied. I have been chaotically busy. It looks like ti wont be cheap or easy at all for me to get your car being that Im in Chicago and will not be able to come look at it prior to buying (never a good idea) so I hope you sell it. Unless the price was waaay too good to pass up, Ill have to just sigh and say I cannot purchase yours even though I would love to do so.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
No problem hotrodder. FWIW I finally got a chance to clean her up and take some shots.

Looks damn good man but I got to tell you, had I bought this car and not gotten to see it until it was at my place, I would have been Pi$$ed off seeing those small spots of rust...after all I initially was willing to pay 3K for it which is definitely on the high end compared to some around here because you said it was a no rust car..
Good luck sellin it though, I would def buy it (if you were local) but wed have to work on that price

Price was always negotiable and I know what you mean, I would be upset to see imperfections too if I thought the car was mint. If we got to a buying stage I would have disclosed any and all minor problems like I did for another out of state potential buyer already. The only reason I did not post pics sooner is we had 2 feet of snow right after we decided to put it up for sale and it was not possible to get good pics. That being said, I hope I never misled anyone on this listing. I said it was clean and in good shape for an 18 year old daily driver, plus I have gone above and beyond on maintenance to ensure reliability since I had not intended to sell it so soon. It's just a really well maintained car thats great for a daily driver and could look amazing with a little detailing if you cared to do so.
