OK tranny has finally quit. AC Compressor bearings are blown so that is shot too. There is rust damage on both quarter panels and around right rear wheel well. Exhaust piping is no good either, doubt it would come off in one piece. Odometer blew a long time ago so no idea how many miles are actually on it.

So my plan has been to wait until tranny finally quit then look for a 5th gen, strip the reusable parts to keep for new max, sell the rest to individuals and finally the leftovers to a scrapper. I have an offer of $250 for the motor if I do this.

The alternative would be to sell the car whole. Now obviously based on its condition I could not in good conscience sell it as a drivable car nor do I really consider that is even worthwhile as a project car. Really would only sell it whole as a parts car and would put that in the BOS. My question is, what is the approximate value based on the conditions described? Would like to see a grand back on it but I am doubtful about being able to get that.

 

In all honesty a 4th gen in that condition with no title is worth no more then $400. Even if you gave them the title and sold it as a repairable you would be lucky to get $700. Your better off parting it out if you have a lot of spare time on your hands.
