For Sale is my 2001 nissan maxima SE 5 speed I've owned this car since 2008 and bought it with 95000 miles, it currently has 115xxx miles on it. I originally bought it as a daily driver/commuter car when i was in college to get back and fourth from school and home on the weekends. i went to school in Syracuse and drove the car back and fourth between there and home (bronx) for about a year until i graduated. Prior to that the car was originally from Middletown New York (upstate) which is where it spent most of its life until i bought it so this car is pretty much all highway miles. Since graduating from college in 2009 i hardly use the car anymore. i used it to drive to and from my first job which was 24 miles a day round trip for 7 months, then 8 miles a day round trip for another 8 months when i got my second job, and for the past 1 year since i started my third job i don't drive it at all because i take the train to work, so 95% of the time it just sits in my backyard accumulating dust. sometimes on the weekends i take it out for a drive to my girls house and back (which is only 13 miles round trip) or if i need to run an errand during the week i may use it. The car was Bone stock up until about 10000 miles ago when i started getting bored with it so decided to do a few things here and there.
First thing i did was lower it on tein S tech springs and added a little sound system and it stayed like that for about 6 or 7 thousand miles. then i bought some SE-R rims and a little while later bought some BC coilovers (which are some of the best coils for a maxima IMO) installed the coilovers and bought new tires at the same time. both tires and coilovers have about 4000 miles on them, bought a stillen front lip and some original AE headlights. oil was recently changed and mobil 1 was always used.
Car has a B&M knock off short shifter as well and Nismo Shift ****, HID's 6000k in the headlights and yellow lexus caps in the fogs. Interior is pretty damn clean with the exception of the driver seat which has normal wear and tear expected from a 10 year old car. All other leather seats are clean and fresh, front seats are heated, interior color is dove, alpine radio with ipod adapter, ice cold a/c and super hot heat, everything works, no problems at all, recent maintenance work done within the last year, o2 sensors were changed, power steering line, starter, alternator, brakes and rotors all around. Rotors are Brembo and i forgot the name of the pads (i think hawk) but they are semi metallic which i bought because they last longer than regular pads but a bit squeaky at times, not too bad though. Motor and tranny are bone stock still, i was never really into maximas so i didnt care to do much motor work, cars primary purpose was for Daily Driving, never intended to keep it as long as i did either but its such a good car i never wanted to sell it.
The only issues i can think of with this car right now are extremely minor and some wouldnt see them as an issue at all but i am trying to give as much info as possible on the car. the short shifter being a B&M knock and has become a bit sloppy and has some play in it but not to bad, (thats what i get for buying knock off parts) never really bothered me but i do have another new shifter just like it and i also have the stock shifter which will be included with the car,
second is there is some rust developing on the driver's side quarter panel but nothing that cant be easily fixed.
and lastly, (this one really isnt an issue) the car rides a bit rough because of the coilovers but thats because i have them set pretty stiff and its pretty low, but thats just my preferance you can easily raise or lower the car and adjust the dampeners to ur liking.
I have the car listed for 5200 obo, not in a huge rush to sell but i would like to make this a short, simple and sweet transaction rather than a long and drawn out ordeal.
