NYC: 2002 Maxima 6Spd HLSD Damaged $1600 OBO

For Sale is a 2002 Nissan Maxima 6 Spd Manual HLSD $1,600 OBO
I just want to be totally up front and honest about this car because I don’t want to waste my time showing it or any potential customers thinking this car is in a different condition than what it is.
The car has front-end damage. Unfortunately some guy ran a red light as I was going through an intersection and I couldn’t stop fast enough before I hit him
. Car made contact in accident on front drivers side at relatively low speed. The impact was not substantial enough to deploy the airbags and the front of the car is pretty much in tact.(See Photos) During the accident the car also incurred rear passenger fender damage and is scrapped up.(See Photo) The hood is a little buckled and out of alignment. Car still drives and tracks straight and was used as a daily driver after accident for a month. There are no fluid leaks. All headlights and fog-lights are fully functional. All electronics inside still work.
Car was deemed total loss by insurance and was not required to be re-registered as a salvaged title under New York State Law since the car is older than 8 years. I think if you re-register it there will be a note for total loss on the title. I’m not sure if it will be given a salavaged title since it wasn’t repaired, but please check with your DMV if that is your intention. Insurance will only cover liability on this car unless it is totally repaired and evaluated to be covered for comprehensive or collision.
- Original motor has 127,020 miles on it
- Regular Mobil 1 5W30 or Mobil 1 5W30 High Mileage formula oil changes every 3000-4000 miles
- 93 Octane BP /Mobil gasoline used only
Engine still runs strong and smoothly. Plenty of life left. The clear coat on hood has started peeling off (since hood buckled) and paint is faded on roof around sunroof. Mechanically the car runs well. Motor has no knocking or pinging. No check engine lights. Car has new catalytic converter and Megan OE-RS catback exhaust. The clutch was replaced at 121k miles and has barely 6000 miles on it. I have original window sticker, owners manual and service records from Smithtown Nissan in Long Island where the car was leased then sold to the next owner who continued to service it there. This makes me the 3rd owner. As you can see below mechanically this car has had a lot of things replaced and or updated in efforts to keep it in good working order. If not driven or registered this car can easily be used as a parts car. Most of the parts replaced on it have less than 10,000 miles on them. It’s a shame to see the car beat up
. It took me forever to find a 6spd loaded with HLSD. Price is $1600 OBO and car is drivable. Title is in hand. Sold As Is. Please PM me if interested.
