If not hook me up for $159 I can wait for a few weeks. Three is reasonable for me.....at that price.

I passed on it, only one of us needs to have one anyway. I decided to spend the money on a nice, big, shiny, air compressor and some aur tools.

Right now I'm a maybe, I was kinda discouraged of going since it is a long drive. Plus Its the same weekend as Chicago's HIN, I know, its pretty much the same thing like last year but I gotta give support to my car club members. So I won't know till about a few weeks before hand. But right now I will start to save money just in case.

yea, im not gonna know untill a few weeks before hand. and on the radar detector topic, i know the V1 is the most expensive out of all of those, but i love mine, and will never switch to anything else no matter what you guys say, because i like the arrows, and the bogey counter, lets see your bel tell you where the radar is coming from, and how many radars are actually hitting you(for example if you drive next to a jewel, and there is a cop right after it)

Xander I respexct your decision, I hope you make it though. trust me there will be plenty of other show in which to encourage fellow team members. Besides, the team looks to be pretty disorganized...........

I found this.. It says that if you are caught speeding more then 25 over, then the fine can be anywhere from 200-500 bucks!

So on our way to Maxus, we can go 90 mph (assuming 65 limit) and pay as little as $200....or up to 100 if the limit is 75 if we get caught.

90 (or100) mph + Escort 8500 = a quick ride through Texas! Wooo Hooo!!

I've been checking that forum and they don't have any info, except 1 thread about some Austin guys caravanning to the meet.

The best info is in the Maxus 2005 sticky thread in the General Forum.

I was talking about leaving wednesday morning. I was thinking of leaving a lil earlier that way we hit less traffic from people trying to get to work. When I did the trip to Texas last year we left at 4am, and got to there our destination at 8:45pm. We were in Texas at bout 7:00pm. Texas is quite big

True.. The good thing is that I usually take 294 to 55.. Which goes away from the city meaning away from the traffic, but for you guys being in the city I can see that.. If you want we are meeting near the intersection of 60 and 94.. You guys are more then welcome to meet up..

Yeah, a small caravan would be cool. I'm planning on stopping around Springfield MO Wednesday night and then getting to the meet area Thursday afternoon.

Chitwista is planning on driving straight through, I think.

Well I'm in! A smaller group would probably attract less attention anyways. Maybe I missed it, but why again do we wanna get there Wednesday night? Dont the activites start on Friday?

I think I was the only one that is adamant about getting there on Friday, just because my wife wants to spend time with her mom that lives in Fort Worth. I know that Blues is going to stop about 1/2 way. So if you dont want to drive all of the way through, there will be an intermission..

I'm planning on stopping Wednesday night in Springfield MO. That's almost 2/3 the way to DFW. I was figuring on getting into DFW sometime Thursday afternoon. That would give me a chance to drive around a bit and see some sights. Not sure what time stuff will start on Friday, but if it's not till later afternoon, there would be more time to tool around. Probably have to wash the Max too, after the long drive......
