'official' hotel will be announced later.. we're working on that part. but before we can secure a deal with any hotel, we have to know how many rooms we're going to need.

Matt we could look at doing it in Frisco near the regional mall, ball parks and
lots of dinning locations and YES it is wet (that means that you can buy beer & wine)
That would only put everyone about 20-30 minutes from the event and a much better (safer) area for the cars

I'm going to be coordinating the rooms, and from what Matt & I have discussed I'm looking the Mesquite area for around $60-$70 bucks.

Let me know what sorta things everyone wants,... first and foremost safty in the parking area, but other things like 'flava' mentioned, a bar would be nice --- maybe a pool or out side lounging area?

Didn't know you guys settled on DAL again.

 

An outside lounge area would be cool. if there was resources we could throw a Bar B que Friday evening or something.

 

An outdoor pool would be nice to enjoy the warm texas weather!

I'd like a bit better hotel. The price last year was very economical, but the services and 'ambiance' matched the low cost. I would be willing to drop $75 to $100 a night for a nicer place.

Agreed. Im easily willing to spend $100/night for a decent hotel. Coming to the hotel after a 13 hour drive, the last thing I want to deal with is sh!tty service and a dirty room IMO.

 

I need something cheap!

 

I may just make hotel reservations on my own. The Courtyard by Marriot in Mesquite seems like a decent place. Only $89/night.

Edit: or the Radisson in Dallas, only 6 or 7 miles from the East Town Mall. $99/night.

 

I have no problem spending a bit more for a nicer place as well... I'm used to being able to get a nice room for $79 a night, and the place we got last year was a last-minute thing. That place is definitely NOT on the list of ones we'll be calling this year.

We'll looking for something more like a Courtyard-Marriott or an Embassy, etc.

If we can get something like that, i'll keep myself on the list. Thats ideal for a decent hotel. Also, make sure its a hotel that doesnt require check in to be 21 yrs of age. I know some hotels have that policy, but places like the Courtyard are usually just 18+, which is what we'd want.

I haven't decided yet. I may come but my cars isn't my top priority now so plus I'll need to fix my AC before running back down there.

And you can always use the 4-75 air conditioning if your regular unit isn't working.
