I honestly don't see how Summit Point is even slightly an option for Maxus. It's located way too far away, plus it's the lowest demand out of any other event.

Summit Point is not going to happen unless we located to another city like Frederick. And that won't happen as long as MIR still agrees to let us do the drag event there.

I have a nagging question: When will info be released for the public?

I'm just worried of the waning interest throughout lately.

No worry about interest, I signed the contract this morning and we will be releasing info by the end of the week. We will be putting together a "press Release" and flooding all of the boards with info.

I talked to Corey and the AutoX event is still in the works, but it is not set in stone yet. He is in contact with a reputable guy that has connections with the SCCA crowd. We could possibly work out an agreement with them.

The mobile dyno is pretty much set in stone. Corey is finalizing everything with this company so they can bring out the dyno to the track.

I already posted what we are working on. There's not really anybody can do right now. Corey is taking care of it.

Has any progress been made?

BTW, I ran my car at the new course at Summit Point that I had reserved for this event, and it is spectacular. Not to mention it only took an hour to drive there, in the rain. If we can't get something together closer to the main event, why not let people decide if they want to come to something at Summit Point? I don't think it's fair to make that decision for people without first getting their input. We would only need a small percentage of people attending Maxus to come to SP to make it cost effective.

What's the word on this? I haven't seen the newly repaved SP lot. Is it big enough for an auto-x? If it is, I might be able to talk to some guys in the BMW CCA and see if they could help with the timing equipment. If not, has anyone found an acceptable lot in the area? Please post up something....anything....so I know if I need to start talking to people.

Ok, the BMW CCA is willing to help out with timing equipment and course design. Their cost would be less than $1000, more like $600 actually. The main thing we need to worry about is whether MIR will actually allow us to do this in their lot, and if MIR will get an additional insurance policy to cover us. I don't have any contacts at MIR, so if someone (Corey) could please talk to someone about this, it would be a great help. Also, how many hours do we have reserved at MIR?
The CCA guy said the lot needs to be a minimum of 300'x700'. Do we have any measurements of the lot at MIR?
