Car wash in Waldorf

I've been looking around for a place for people to wash their cars and found a few places in Waldorf. Most of them didn't pick up the phone, and those that did I couldn't understand what they were saying.

Here are some possibilities:

Prowash
1160 Smallwood Dr W
Waldorf, MD 20603
(301) 705-5559

Mr Clean Car Wash Inc
11775 Holly Auto Center Ln
Waldorf, MD 20601
(301) 843-9185

Sparkle Car Wash
3380 Leonardtown Rd
Waldorf, MD 20601
(301) 843-9097

Speedy Clean Car Wash
1320 Smallwood Dr W
Waldorf, MD 20603
(301) 645-6790

If anyone is going to be in the area and can check them out it would be a great help. Most are going to be automatic car washes, but hopefully there will be one or two where you can do it yourself.

Thanks Nick for doing that research! We have not found a car wash yet. So if you would like to line something up, please go ahead. A touchless automatic car wash is ok for some Maxima owners. But we need a place that allows you to wash the car yourself so everyone will be happy.

Also, if the owner is willing to chat about it, it would be nice if he only allows the car wash to be open to us for those couple hours Saturday morning. We can guarantee he will be busy for those couple hours.

I agree, but the problem is finding someone who speaks English when I call over the phone. That's why it would be helpful if someone in the area could go around and check them out in person. Maybe if I have a free day before the event I could drive down there and see for myself, but it's quite a drive.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Also, feel free to search south of Waldorf in between the hotel and MIR.

Speedy Clean is owned by English speaking people. They are a customer of ours (where I work). I can provide a phone number for the car wash if you need it, I just prefer to be left out of the converstaion because of our business relationship, and also I don't want my name dropped.

We specalize in touchfree carwashs so I am not sure if they would have an area for us to hand wash. I really don't know of any car wash that would want us to hand wash. Unless they agree to let us hand wash in the self serve bays and use their water as rinse/fill bucket water. Who ever is contacting the washs you can PM me if you like. Please let me know what number you have and contact info, and I will see if I have anything different.

Can someone call the hotel and see if they would let us use some of their hoses? I think we're gonna need as many options as possible.

If someone knows other areas between Waldorf and MIR I can see if I have contact info. for any other washes. I know my dad was saying that LaPlata is between the two and I know we have a wash that is called Extreme Clean on 301.

I can't recommend anything since I'm not local. But we don't have to have the entire place to ourselves. All we need is a Car Wash somewhere on the way to the track that has bays for people to pressure wash their car. It would be best if the place had some kind of automatic touchless car wash.

Thanks for your help guys! It's much appreciated!

I am going to call Xtreem Klean in LaPlata. I think he has two automatics and 4 self serve bays. I'll see how busy they are most Saturday mornings. According to map quest it is 7 something miles away from the Hotel, so 10 minutes...and its on the way to the track on 301.

Sounds good! Thanks! If you find a location that will work, email Bobbie at blprice2@gmail.com and tell him where it is. He is making up the event schedules and information flyers.

I will also add the information to the website if you can confirm that place by 5pm today.

Thanks!

I just talked to the owner at La Plata. The name of the car wash is "Xtreme Kleen" He would love our business. He has 2 automatic touch free car washes with virtual treadles (this means there is no metal plate that you have to drive onto) and 4 self serve bays with all the newest stuff. He said there is a building that is under renovations next door that we can use their parking lot to dry the cars and do detailing. He also has several vacuums on site as well.

The address is:
6485 CRAIN HIGHWAY
La Plata, MD 20646

When leaving the hotel you get on 301, then it is about 7 miles down the road on the way to MIR.

Hopefully this settles the car wash delima.

Thanks Carson. It definitely solves the car wash dilemma. I will update the website right now.
