They are only painted, i was in the process of having them powdercoated, but the wait was to long and i needed them on asap. Bascially I just spray painted them with about 6 coats and about 4 coats clear.
This method will chip because the original paint is still intact and since I didn't sand them down, the paint won't adhere properly, but its for the winter so I'm not to worried. I had them done last year but I wasn't feeling the shinly blackish color they were. The gunmetal actually shows that the spokes have edges.
I change the wheels for the winter because it gets pretty harsh around here and the 20's with summer tires just don't get any traction.
