Poowill's Winter Pics New Volks! (56k, go grab a snack)

Here are the 18" Volk Racing GT-N's i just bought. I couldn't wait till spring to put them on, so in the meantime of swapping wheels out, it starts to snow! But i was careful and got some pics before i swap them back out this weekend. I'll have some new pics up in the springtime (The car is really dirty in these pics). Let me know what you think and what my next mod should be (i'm thinking lip kit).

The Camera is a Nikon D70, i'm still learning. Won't be as good as Whazzzup's pictures! I wish though...a

Your car looks gorgeous in those pictures! The D70 is a very capable, more so than my 300d. It's not the camera that matters. Its the person behind the camera that is important. Looking good so far. Practice makes perfect. The 1st and 3rd shots are the correct white balance. They look best IMO.

yeah i know it! Anyone want to donate a lip kit and BBK for a good causer? c'mon, you know you want to.
A33 was a jerk and didn't just *give* me his bbk when he shipped the wheels! haha, j/k.

You guys with stillen lip kits...how much did it cost total to get the kit painted? Now that i look the kits is expensive! Plus you gotta pay to paint it. So i was just curious to how much that is.

I'm on ground control coilovers and AGX struts. I also have a stillen camber kit. I thought i had the front pretty much all the way down, but now that i look at the pictures it looks like the back is a little lower than the front. What's weird is, with the new 18's and bridgestone potenzas, the ride seems better than when i had the 16's on. Ofcourse that was with kuhmo 711 and goodyear RSA's.

Thanks for the comments guys! Makes the hardwork to get them even more worth it!

Thanks guys

I've got a few cons about doing lip kit or bbk. Both which involved living in freaking South Dakota!!

If i were to get a bbk kit, i would not have a set of rims to swap out in the winter because stock ones obviously woudln't fit. So that's kinda hard to work around..

If i were to get a kit, again South Dakota roads aren't the best. I've heard stories of the kits not lasting very long. And if i'm going to spend 700-900 to get a kit and get it painted, i want it to last. Anyone with stillen kit have problems with it getting beat up on the road?

Or....solution: Get a beater car to drive in the winter! Problem solved! heh.

man i live in louisiana and our roads are horrible. My front lip sitts like 3 1/2 " off the ground and my lip is still in excellent shape. I have a few paint scratches underneath but they are not visible. The lip itself is extremely tuff. If you get a quality painter to paint it the paint bonds to lipp pretty good and is suprisingly pretty scratch resistant

Totally changes the look of the car.

Are they 18x8's? The stance looks really nice.

you know what you could do if you get big brakes. Just get the stock G35 wheels. They clear the 300zx BBK with no problem.

Humm..that could work too.

Fr33way: They are 18X8 with 37mm offset. The Offset is PERFECT. The front is flush and the back looks good as well.

Too lazy... haha

I'm going to take some daytime pics tomorrow, with the car all cleaned. Its going to be a whopping like 32 degrees! Woot! Then its time to put the volks on hold till spring. Some dumbass lady almost hit me today, and my windshield cracked for no reason. Just popped cause of the cold. WTF? So i figure i better not take my chances with the wheels.

Bridgestone Potenza RE 750 235/40/18 in front. Falken 512's on back. I will be getting another pair of bridgestones in the spring. I love the bridgestones though, actually a very smooth riding tire.
