Car Tinted! Also washed, clayed, and waxed. (pics)

Spent a few hours this morning washing, claying, and waxing the car. Also had some tint put on yesterday. 35% on the sides and 15% on the back window. Enjoy!

Hey! Looks great! That paint just glows!

I have the same car. I don't have tint yet, now I know what it will look like! How does the auto dim work with the back window tinted? Does the center mirror want to dim more than the side mirrors?

I have 35% in the front and 20% in the rear and I normally just turn off the auto dim while driving at night. But when it is on I would say that it seems to dim the same.

In November I bought a 2004 Maxima SE. I always wanted this model since it came out and boy did I get a deal on it. Fully Loaded, Auto, Heated Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Moonroof, Power Seats, Power Mirrors and Leather. I want to make modifications to it, but not big ones. I am looking at a set of rims that Jlines puts out, sick ones, they were on an Avalon at the SEMA auto show. First I want to tint my car. I am from Rhode Island where you cannot tint your car but I've heard that its ok as long as you can see in the car? Does anyone know about this and if so, what percentages are good? I also want to boost up the audio system. I want good bass, but not like thundering, i want a sort of subtle bass. I am a business man and I don't want to be bumpin down the road, however, i want enough bass so you can hear me coming, any suggestions as to what i should look into? I also wanted to put a touch screen in the front for navi, dvd, cd, and reverse camera. My girlfriend has a Lexus GS300 2006. Sickest car yet, and it has all of this and i love it. If anyone can point me into the right direction as to what i should do that would be much appreciated, you can reach me at my email (andrewabbate@yahoo.com), or just reply here. It is my first nice car that i can actually do something to, so I would like to begin.

Tek-Niq pretty much summed it up. it's a block of clay that you drag across the paint, which picks up any contaminates along the way. the paint is now super smooth

the autodim still works, but it doens't need to dim as much when there's a guy with glaring headlights behind me.

thanks for the comments everyone

beauitful must have taken a while. but i guess when you have a good looking car you dont mind spending hours gettting it to perfection. was wondering about the auto dimming mirror myself with the tint. i had a 2002 cadillac that when i tinted the window the driver mirror had a brown tint to it and at nite whenever someone got behind me with hid lights it would give off a blue glow on the window when i was driving. guess from the two different tints so i had to take it off the lower part of the glass and just have to top portion tinted.

yeah it took awhile...my right arm is rather flimsy at the moment . but the results are worth it. i don't have any issues yet with the tint. some people said 15% on the rear might be a little too dark and may have troubling backing out of a driveway etc at night, but it's not too bad at all.

Looks great. Good job. I need to claybar mine when I get the time out of my busy schedule. I always loved the white 6th gens.

I have 20% tint in the back window as well and 35% on the sides. My rear view dims the same as well as without the tint. Not much difference at all. No problems

Very Nice!! I have a winter frost too. I have two layers of 35% on back and sides to block this Texas heat. I might have to try out that clay bar thing. Where do you get something like that?

Check out Zaino Brothers website, www.zainostore.com. They have the best clay bar out and the entire wax process is awesome. It takes a lot of time, but the car will look 10x better.

car looks great. but it's new, why would you clay it? the paint can't have amassed any significant amount of buildup already.

you'd be amazed how fast stuff can get on the paint in the houston air. i guess the few months the car sat on the lot was enough time for the contaminates to really stick onto the paint. it was sorta smooth, but not glassy smooth.
