Photos of my car and your suggestions!!

Greetings,

I just registered my car on CarDomain networks. Listed below is the link to view:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2251409

The photos are from when I bought the car in November '05. All that has changed so far is that I have tinted the windows 35%. I'm looking to score some 16" 5-spoke wheels from wesnine soon here on the .org.

What suggestions do you all have for some basic mods? Not looking to go heavy on the mods, just some general things that will make an already fantastic car look and perform just a little bit better.

Thanks,
2000MaxGLE

SE taillights, factory spoiler, 2k1, 2k2 or 2k3 rims. Anniversary edition headlights or convert to 2k2/2k3 HIDs. Stillen lip, sides and rear valence or if you don't want to be ripped off tomato-racing.com (which is currently under construction but I paid $100 for my rear valence shipped.) Clear sidemarkers. That will make it look sweet.

supercharger, 3" cat-back, nitros, and new blinker fluid. That ought to do the trick!

Seriously, just do what you want when you can afford it.

I say smoke the side markers, its cheaper than clear and you dont have to wait for them, but thats just me, do what you like. Your car should be a reflection of who you are, not what every one else wants.

Factory spoiler and 2k1,2,3 rims would be a nice start.

I'd save the money on the spoiler and pay for a drop.

I'd still go with the super-charger. Best cosmetic mod you car get.

Good to see another Wisconsin member.

I'd go with a bigger wheel than 16. 17 at least. Used OEM 17's are not that expensive.

Your mods will depend on what you want. Performance or looks or a combination of both. Lots of infor here. Take some time to browse here and Car Domain.

bigfatty,

I like your suggestion of the smoked side markers; how do you do it? Also, how do mod the headlights to the AE style like the ones you were selling? I wish I coulda bought them from you, but low on $$.

For everyone else who replied, thanks for your suggestions. I look forward to sharing my progress on the .org as all the rest of you have.

go to
http://www.vqpower.com
and go under "how to" or something like that.... and look for info on how to make ur own AE headlights.... i did it on my maxima... and it looks sick...really easy mod...just takes some patient to take the headlight apart...but other than that its really eeasy...
and if i was you... i wouldnt get a new spoiler...lower it and it'll look sick w/o spoiler...thats my opinion...
good luck

Smoked side markers: There a few different ways that people have tried. I did it with two LIGHT coats of duplicolor black gloss paint and two coats of duplicolor clear coat. If you miss a spot on your first coat of black do not try and go back over it. Just get it in your second coat.

AE lights: I used this write up by Ron (maximized2000) from his CarDomain site. Not too hard but you need patience and all though it is a small chance, you could really damage your lights. Its all about what you are willing to risk.
Ron's write up

Metal Maxima,

Ouch!! Embarrased?? The car does contain a stock interior; it is black leather w/power and heated seats and very comfortable. (And in excellent condition, I might add) What would be emabarassing would be having a car with terrible bodywork or completely falling apart; both of which this car is far from having.

We are all entitled to our opinions and I anticipated receiving some not so flattering feedback about my car. As far as the stock, 9-spoke GXE/GLE rims, they are temporary, as I am looking to score some 16" 5-spokes and/or 17" 6-spokes soon. Even the 9-spokes aren't so bad when they are done up right:

No beef, just my $.02.

Once you start modding it'll be hard to stop. I'll just say tints, drop, rims and at least a front lip.
