OK, so I spent 3 hours today doing the following:

New oil - Mobil 1 5W-30
New oil filter - OEM filter
New HIDs - Helios H1 6,000K

Pictures!

But then I couldn't figure out how to get the front bumper back on

Looks very nice. Why did you take off the front bumper/grill though?

Yep, Mazda6 has very little room behind the headlight, even small Asian hands are too big.

Did you plug in the HID's into the stock halogen projectors? Do you have light output pics? I'm curious to see how the light output is.

The halogen projector can take a H1 bulb or a D2S bulb, and the output is pretty good IMO. It has that distinct sharp cutoff like many OEM projector setups.

That was my next question, which bulbs you used. My dad's 04 MPV has halogen projectors and was curious about how the light output would be with HID's in the projectors. Do you have any light output pics?

H1 and no pics of output, but you can trust me when I say ouput is very good.

220HP V6 + AEM CAI = not enough torque to be fun, but it has a decent top end.
