Greetings from Hampton VA, 56k eat it.

greeetings.
Picked up a 00 Max for my wife, well under price. the price we stole it for covered the paint but we had bills going on from katrina and setting up our home here in VA so i had to forgo the paint and instead hit it with some paint. sand paper, a buffer and some wax.
there were the most minor of scratches under the primer but the guy i bought it off of is an idiot with cars and just lathered on the primer over what coulda been buffed out. anyways....here it is.

who's they??
note the bondo and sand paper on the pic of the rear bumper...all that work was me
you can still see gray marks where i had to sand it all out...but its a million times better then gray paint splattered all up on it.
and yup. 98 accord v6..how did you know? did you pick out the 98-99 front bumper? i like the 00-02 bumper\...but the 98-99 is just wide and agressive..its my favorite IMO.

i misread your post...im even more impressed with the fact that you did it yourself. i couldnt do work like that

as far as the accord, yeah, the front bumper and the engine. it doesnt have direct igntion, it has regular plugs and wires. I like the 98-99 because the aftermarket kits for it are nicer, and the OEM kit is for that year, not 00+. although a lot has changed in the 2 years since i got rid of mine, so there could be a hundred other options out there.

Max looks good, just get rid of the dealer sticker and clean up the headlights a bit

As far as the Accord, I like it...but the headlights bug me. You need to maybe black some parts of the housing or something. Same goes for the Max, really.

Yeah, the sanding took off the clear coat in alot of the spots so there are black/grey spots all over, but with a few more weekends of hardcore buffing and waxing it should lok even better. However the main goal was to clean up the rear bumper, fill in the big old dent, and make the car look a little cleaner then with all the gray, and ensure that there was no metal showing, becasue regardless of how are car looks, as long as there is no threat of rust and the body isnt compromised, then you are good to go and a paint job can follow whenever. My wife really wants this blue color i can best describe as midnight blue, so i guess we will go swatch hunting and take it from there.

The dealer sticker is actualy a really big badge, its pretty bling for a dealership, but yes yes, it will get shaved this weekend. Along with the max badge if she wants. Its her car so whatever she wants to do with it is her perogative. She wants a V2 or some CAI so we will start shopping for that soon as well. If there is anyone that wants to meet up or have a mini meet we're all up for it--we just bought a big *** grille so im down for whatever. I also am organizing a big east coast meet in Va beach for this summer, perhaps a 2 day event, day 1-meet up, do the usual stand around take pictures and have fun meet with an afternoon/evening cruise and a cookout, then the next day a cruise to the beach and leave when you need to deal. THe date is still fluid right now so if you have any ideas lemme hear em, and i will keep you all posted. your all welcome, we can have a honda/nissan meet. after all i wouldnt want my wife feeling lonily in her max
note: this is a cruise, not racing! ive noticed you guys have a thing about that, plus with a large group, racing can only lead to problems, this would just be a cruise around the area in the afternoon/evening before beer and BBQ or some sort of dinner I would like if we did this that everyone would get walkie talkies or motorolas to stay in communication and have a little fun in the summer
I swear to god im goin to go crazy and kill someone. this lack of a search button and "todays posts' or "recent posts" is driving me nuts.
