AE Skirts Installed (finally :)

After owning them for almost half a year, after trying to sell them, I decided to keep them I finally got around painting and installing them Had them professionally painted and I installed them on by myself. It took me about 3-4 hours to do it...

What you see are the front and back AE Aero skirts and 2002-03 Sides...

Cheers

Thanks

The rear is 2 pc only, this is Aero kit...

Templates were useless and I trew em out when I finished... I tried using them initially but they made me drill at wrong spots and the skirts would not line up, so I went on my own feel and drilled per my gutt feel...

The car looks great. Are you sure there are only two pieces for the rear lip?

Nice maxima, looks really clean. Thought about AE'ing your headlights? That might add a nice touch to it also.

It is actually three pieces but I have heard that if you buy the complete painted kit, the rear comes in two pieces (maybe attributed to the fact that the regular maxima doesn't have tips that poing downward) since most people who buy the whole kit are people looking to add it to their maxima.

Thanks Yes, I am sure! Skirts came in original Nissan boxes along with the parts list and installation manual and there are only 2 pcs to it... This is so called "Aero Kit"... I am happy to be one of the rare ones (if not the only one?) with it. I am yet to see another Max with them on

I did think of AE-ing the headlights at first, then went on to put the eyelids instead... I like them better...

This is indeed only 2-pc rear set. The set that you frequently see with 3 pieces is different altogether... The outside side 2 pieces end straight whereas mine curve upwards...

I love being unique

You are right. The middle part of my AE lip is held flush by the two outer pieces. Upon closer inspection, I've realized that your 2 pieces are not intended to do that! Yours looks great! More importantly, they are rare, and I am always for rare parts.

BAH! ya beat me to it!

im in the process of looking for an ae rear lip to cut up. kinda like how urs looks, but instead of it wraping around the back it would basiclly stop once it starts to curve around , its kinda hard to explain. im running ae sides(well eventually when i get tiem to put them on)just wanted something to not make the rear seem so high compared to the rest of the car.

I think I know what you mean, you want the skirts in the rear just to run along the side of the car and not on the back under the trunk... That could work well too... Good luck with your project!
